Zone1 God Says Don't Eat Shellfish

God's laws would benefit all of mankind but were only commanded for Israel and those who joined themselves to Israel.
Israel (only the Tribe of Judah ) is recognized as "God's chosen people" because they alone keep God's TEST COMMANDMENT. SOME Christians do as well, but they are not part of the Catholic/Protestant (Great Whore & Daughters of the Whore) cult who observe pagan Sunday and reject the Sabbath of Jesus, the prophets, and the apostles

Few observe the Sabbath the way God intended, certainly not the Jews. Even God rested from his work on the seventh day.

Sadly, the Jews and others have so loaded the Sabbath with traditional activities that it is no longer a time of much needed rest. In the west most have the weekends off from work. Saturday is the Sabbath and should be spent in "rest and repose" according to its literal meaning.

Sunday is a great day for religious meetings and other related activities when people are well rested, responsive to sermons and bible studies, and other activities.

Unfortunately, Sunday is now considered to be the Sabbath by unlearned Christians.

Leviticus 11

Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams you may eat any that have fins and scales. 10 But all creatures in the seas or streams that do not have fins and scales—whether among all the swarming things or among all the other living creatures in the water—you are to regard as unclean. 11 And since you are to regard them as unclean, you must not eat their meat; you must regard their carcasses as unclean. 12 Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be regarded as unclean by you.

To be fair... those restrictions were only give by Hashem to The Jews...

... gentiles can eat all the Red Lobster they like.

They were given to all Israelites, to separate them from the Gentile world and make them a great nation. Israel failed, was destroyed and scattered among the very Gentile nations they were to be separate from. Therefore, the food laws as well as all the others no longer apply as the nation of Israel no longer exists.

Seriously?

He was only testing His chosen people at the time that law was given, in order to see if they would obey Him.

Those laws went out the window when Jesus was tested by the Pharisees and told them "Listen and understand. What goes into a man's mouth does not make him `unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him `unclean. '"
False...

.

I used to work at a bar in a fishing town in Washington state. All the guys just had to prove their macho by slamming Oyster Shooters -- a huge, raw Willapa Bay oyster in a double shot of whiskey. My job was to go to the cooler and tong out one of those slimy fuckers and slap it into the glass. Ick!

.
I do enjoy oysters in dressing or cooked into other recipes. But raw? No. I don't eat things I don't even have to swallow.

So you don't mix fabrics either right?

And you worship in the tabernacle?
So you murder right?

And you bow down to statues?

Typical ignorant Protestant cultist who prefers her cult over following the clear example of Jesus and the apostles

Oh, and I don't bury my poop in the backyard as God commanded the WANDERING NOMADIC Israelites to do. Neither did Jesus and the apostles. Why? Because I'm not wandering in the wilderness. But if I were living in the national Forrest I would dig a hole and bury it.

But Jesus DID observe God's Sabbath, and not Sunday. So did the apostles. Jesus DIDNT eat shellfish. Neither did the apostles.

The real question is, WHY DO YOU FOLLOW MEN AND NOT GOD?

Both Israel and the Jews were punished for 2520 years. Israel and the Tribe of Judah are not the he same.

Israel lost her identity because she no longer keeps GODS identifying sigh -- the SABBATH.

We are still here (The British and American People and the people of NW Europe).

The Jews returned to the Land of Israel as a nation 2520 years after exile.

Thats part of the NATIONAL/CIVIL code for ANCIENT ISRAEL. NOT God's MORAL LAW (the 10 Commandments etc)

You want to make yourself a "teacher" but you don't understand the basics.

In addition to His eternal spiritual commandments, God gave Israel various statutes and judgments as part of its civil code or national law. Most aren't binding laws for Christians today, but Christians should consider and learn from the principles contained in all of them. Is there any principle in these laws or in their intended purpose that can guide Christians in everyday life?

In its introductory notes on Leviticus, Expositor's Bible Dictionary points out: "The weaving of two kinds of material (wool and linen in Deuteronomy 22:11) may be a rule that would prevent loss by unequal shrinkage." There is no apparent application today for two reasons: (1) Most Christians do not make their own fabric or clothing today, and (2) clothing manufacturers do not mix these materials.

However, the broader principle of the several statutes that forbid "mixing" in various ways is that God wanted His people to pursue purity and quality. Similarly, Christians are to pursue pure and godly character. The Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Commentary offers the following explanation for Leviticus 19

"Neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee—Although this precept, like the other two with which it is associated, was in all probability designed to root out some superstition, it seems to have had a farther meaning. The law, it is to be observed, did not prohibit the Israelites wearing many different kinds of cloths together, but only the two specified; and the observations and researches of modern science have proved that 'wool, when combined with linen, increases its power of passing off the electricity from the body. In hot climates, it brings on malignant fevers and exhausts the strength; and when passing off from the body, it meets with the heated air, inflames and excoriates like a blister' [Whitlaw]. (See Ezekiel 44:17-18.)"

“God Says Don't Eat Shellfish”

There is no ‘god’ as perceived by theists.

This is something humans made up, the consequence of their ignorance.
We all know you don't believe in the Christian Bible.

So why are you trolling this conversation about a topic that doesn't concern your beliefs?

He doesn't have to explain why. We are just expected to obey. Here's a possible reason though.

Why would an infinite God, who created trillions of galaxies and innumerable stars and planets, care if a few hominid great apes on a planet somewhere in the universe, go to Red Lobster and order some shellfish?

You really enjoy feeling superior which, as I have pointed out to you before, is a much bigger "sin" than Christians eating shellfish.

But go your way.
