GOP view of economy disconnected from reality

And it's full of lies; though perhaps it is redundant for me to say that about a PMSNBC opinion piece.

Anyone who is working at an honest job, trying to make a living, and finding it increasingly difficult to fit his budget into his income, knows very well that every claim made in that piece is false.

As alluded to in the Orwell quote in my previous post, the modern left wrong is very big, these days, on demanding that we accept as truth, claims which we can clearly tell by direct experience and knowledge to be outrageously false. Whether it is demanding that we believe that a man can be a woman, that it is acceptable to brainwash children into fucked-up sexual perversions, or that the economy is doing great even though everyone is experiencing greatly-reduced buying power; modern LIbEralism is built on a foundation of lies and bullshit.

And by the way…

One big indicator is that the NYC mayor is facing a huge budget deficit, but even he isn't trying to raise taxes because he knows people are already approaching their limits.

Republicans have never been more disconnected from the performance of an economy.

Democrats must have received the same memo.

what have I posted in this thread that was factually incorrect?
You are attempting to present a segment of the workforce instead of real household income, which was clearly shown by Census data to be falling, and is an obviously better aggregate picture of where households stand, while at the same time pointing at Republicans for being disconnected from reality.

Either intentionally misleading or obtuse.

Never a good idea to take talking points from such a clearly liberal hack as the author of this trash piece.

I did not present shit, are you drunk or something?

Democrats must have received the same memo.

78% of democrats do not agree with the statement that the economy is poor. Those are the same numbers we saw under trump and Obama. Pretty consistent and not colored by politics.

During the pandemic when shit was shut down the republicans answered that 77% thought everything about the economy was excellent and good. The same nearly 80% thought the economy sucked up until the Trump election and then thought it went back to sucking the day he left office. What a group of morons.

See Black Friday

I agree. There are mixed signals out there, however, Americans have a tendency to live beyond their means and especially when it comes to Christmas, they will spend money they don't have and go into debt to pay for it.

probably lots of credit cards being used.....
Credit card debt as a percent of disposable income is still at all time lows.

During the pandemic when shit was shut down the republicans answered that 77% thought everything about the economy was just fine.. it was excellent and good. The same nearly 80% thought the economy sucked up until the Trump election and then thought it went back to sucking the day he left office. What a group of morons.
a poster in another thread just put up a "poll" that says that 70% of all Americans polled think the economy kinda sucks....77%?.....yea right....

You presented a chart showing income of full time workers.

Alzheimers as well. You should see a doctor.
You are so old you are confusing someone who is called golfing gator with another post called citygator. They dont look remotely the same. The avatars aren’t even close as one is a cityscape and the other is Indiana Jones.

there is a trillion dollars in CCcard debt.... credit card debt in America has increased by $45 billion from Q1 of 2023. That represents a 4.6% increase in a single quarter, with cardholders shouldering thirteen-figure debt at $1.03 trillion for the first time.....

That’s not what it says. 77%of republicans say the economy is poor like lemming losers. 25% of democrats say it is poor which reflects a normal level of people dissatisfied with their economic situation from Obama, through Trump and now into Biden. It’s the republican crazies that said the covid shut down economy was great (80% of those dumb fuckers) and now those same 80% say the economy sucks. They are morons.

here is the survey the article was written about: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive...es-siena-battlegrounds-registered-voters.html
