I love it! CHURCH VOWS WAR ON OBAMA 'FIGHT IN STREETS'

congress shall make no law .......... regarding church doctrine and trying to prohibit it.

They have given special treatment to many with this health care law.
I hope the Supreme Court votes 9-0 on this horrible bill.

Except that isn't what the constitution says.

It says Congress shall pass no law respecting an establishment of religion, nor restrict the free practice thereof. This law no more does that than a law stating that Catholic Schools have to have fire alarms.

Advocating armed insurrection is treason. Surprised to see those pleased with such activity.

Seriously? Since when was fire a tenet of the church? Now you are just being silly. Believe it or not, the Church does not condone death by abortion or by fire. Truth.

Here in Chicago, there was a fire on December 1st, 1958, in our Lady of the Angels school.

92 Children and 3 nuns died in that fire.

While the School was in compliance, it's fire safety was nowhere near what the public schools of the time had. The school was essentially a death trap.

Not to worry, the nuns at the time got the kids in a circle to pray. Yeah, that probably helped a lot.

1958? Way before my time.

In 2012, parents in Chicago sent their kids to Catholic school because children were being shot at the public school. The public schools were essentially a death trap. :cuckoo:

And those Catholic Schools in Chicago have to comply with all the laws that govern Public schools.

But you bring up a good point. My neice went to one of those Catholic Schools, and about 30% of the kids there aren't Catholic.

They even had a Muslim girl in the class.

So it wasn't about the faith, it was about the money.

And when the Church is running a money-making operation, they can't plead religion.

Yeah....I can see all the believers rioting in the streets because they are going to be forced to get the birth control that most of them use as a covered expense in the insurance plan that they pay for. This will surely be the last straw!

Look out, liberals! The Catholics are coming!

The Catholics are coming! Man... that actually used to be pretty scary back in the spanish Inquisition days and earlier, when they went out and murdered people for having different faiths or being different.

Yep, someone forgot to tell them it's only ok for Muslims to do such a thing.......

"I don't care if Catholic hospitals close". Spoken like a true liberal.

Virtue is on the left is defined by what they think. On the right, it's about what we do.

And how many of the above that are Catholic are ALREADY complying with birth control insurance provisions mandated at the state level?

I know that Catholic Health West does.

The Church is lying if it claims it can't comply with an insurance requirement to provide birth control; it already has been, all across the country, for years.

The pill can also destroy a fertilized egg; thus, the pill is also murder if life begins at conception.

I have no idea. But what I do know, is that "closing Catholic hospitals" might be a bad idea. What say you? Would the mandate be worth it?

Pay attention.

Catholic hospitals all across the country already comply with state versions of this mandate.

There is no meaningful opposition - on religious grounds - from the Church on this issue because if there were they would not be complying NOW.

This is phoney outrage from the Catholic Church.

If the Church closes a hospital over this, then that's on the Church, isn't it?

Because there isn't any good economic reason to.

Economic reason? How about the million dollar fines?

BTW - Even President Obama does not want to see these hospitals shut down. Ask him.

Don't violate the law, don't get the fine.

.

This notion that Catholics from coast to coast will change their mind on voting for Obama because of this seems to be wishful thinking. Those who voted for him in 2010 knew quite well where he stands on abortion and contraception; plus there are plenty of "cafeteria Christians" running around out there.

Perhaps a palatable GOP candidate would be a better idea.

.

Actually, they had no idea that he would put the Church in this position... before 2008 (which is when they actually voted for him - not 2010 - idiot).... and, during the drafting of the bill, Obama asked to meet with the Arch Bishop - at that meeting - he gave his word that the Church would not be put into this position.

Either get your fucking facts straight, or don't fucking post.... but don't post bullshit and pretend it's fact.

Catholics are changing their minds about Obama.... we are a notorious swing vote. Most Catholics are not dem or GOP. But they are always Catholic.

You always thing you know everything, you miserable bitch. Why are you always so nasty???

FYI, Catholics for Choice, a liberal advocacy group, said in a statement. "In shouting from the pulpit, they are threatening to drown out the voice of the majority of Catholics who believe that women should be able to access birth control. The bishops do not speak for us".

98% of Catholic women have used contraception, despite church teachings. And about half of U.S. Catholics who leave their faith cite their unhappiness with the church's teachings on birth control as a reason they left, according to a 2009 Pew survey.

Do you want women to conceive babies when they have no money to raise them or when they haven't the strength or desire?? Great. The children will end up like Caylee Anthony.

It seems you need to get your facts straight, Miss Sunshine. You don't know what you're talking about. All that hate you have for President Obama keeps you from seeing things as they really are.
