Iraq Civilian Death Toll Higher Under Obama than Bush

Massive screw up by Bush invading Iraq and then mishandling the aftermath. Please America don't vote for Jeb and the Bush family again. That family has messed up this country.

Yes sir, there was no violence in Iraq prior to removing the Butcher of Baghdad from power.

Bush screwed up the invasion and aftermath and punted it to whoever is next, as well as a broken economy. With his republican congress he spent massive amounts of money adding to the debt. You may never admit it in your lifetime but "W" will go down as one of the worst presidents in the history of our nation.

Also his presidency with a repub congress proves that when Republicans say they are fiscally responsible they are full of shit and worst than the Dems.

Women are still voting in Iraq.

Iraq has free elections

The Kurds are very happy to have the Butcher of Baghdad out of office.

If Bush punted to Obama then Obama muffed the punt.
Half of Iraq has been isis because the dumb ass Bush administration had no clue and let it turn into a tribe fight. Bush started the civil war in Iraq with his bumbling mistakes. He decided to fire most of the existing Iraqi military, a huge blunder. They became ISIS. Bush fuck ups haunt us still to this day.

You repeat the left wing meme very well. ISIS did not become strong in Iraq, they couldn't recruit and they had no power base. But they did find a power vacuum created not by Bush but by Obama in Syria. Obama supplied them arms and allowed them to take arms from Iraq by not resisting their invasion. Which, if we are to believe the news apparently ended.

I know, you are concerned for the Iraqis. Right.

I was concerned enough about Iraqis that I argued vehemently against the unprovoked invasion and destruction of Iraq.

I bet you cared so much (for the Iraqis) that you supported the Bush invasion.

Right?

I would not have supported the invasion but folks like Mrs. Clinton and John Kerry certainly did, before they didn't. That said, everything is a two edged sword. Saddam was using chemical weapons against the Kurds, his sons were running "rape" rooms, and Saddam and sons lived in opulence while his people lived in abstract poverty. Saddam didn't get his nickname by accident.

And after 7 years you are dishonest enough to say, nothing is Obama's fault. Can we say with certainty that without the Iraq war there would be an ISIS? No. Can we say that without the power vacuum created in Syria and Libya that ISIS would not have formed? Yes, that is what the experts are saying as I linked.

In Bush's last year in office, the Iraqi civilian death toll was at around 10,000. Under Obama, it hit 20,000 in 2014. And it's still very high.

Nearly 19,000 civilians were killed in Iraq between January 2014 and October 2015 -- a toll the United Nations calls "staggering" in a new report.
This is worse than all but two of the worst years under Bush. By Bush's last year in office, the Surge, which Obama opposed, had worked and the violence had died down. Before Obama called ISIS a JV team, civilian casualties had doubled in one year.

tell me the truth. You are POTUS and you get congress to authorize an invasion of a country and you do. You seriously leave the army in tact? Really? An army you just swiftly and completely destroyed? Seriously is that really what you would do?

As I linked, ISIS could not get a foothold in Iraq. They were more or less a social group trying to make trouble for the US but the surge and the building of the Iraqi army kept them at bay. Until Syria and Libya were destabilized. Who you want to blame for that situation is up to you. ISIS might have been a seed in Iraq but it grew to be a problem in Syria.

Now, go back to a few posts of mine and you will see I didn't blame Obama for the continued civilian death toll. That is all up to the Iraqi government. But I also hope you see what happens within the Muslim world. Most of the violence in Iraq, Syria and Libya are Muslims attacking each other.

So, wait. Obama pulled out of Iraq years ago, but it's still his fault, but Bush didn't pull out of Iraq, he went in, and nothing is his fault because he's not president any more. Er......

Bush didn't pull out of Iraq because it would become a hot bed of terrorists. We can thank Obama for getting out of Iraq and letting that happen.
except bush agreed to leave

So apparently the OP and others would be happier if the Iraqi death toll were lower and the American death toll were higher in Iraq.

Well, it's not surprising - 500 pound bombs do not discriminate. Since the messiah-in-chief insists on bombing - civilian casualties are sure to follow - not that I particularly give a damn.
you dumbass. you're under the impression that this is the civilian death count caused by the united states. it is not

It is not, but he certainly appears to be trying. What was his purpose in creating a power vacuum in Libya? Or his supplying arms to the Syrian rebels that became ISIS? If he would have stayed completely out of the ME I could see your point, but his bombing and running doesn't seem to me to be good foreign policy.
