. You just keep going and going.. Different storms, different circumstances, and different outcomes.
Of course they are different in every way, I'm just saying the federal government/media needs to keep their opinions to themselves. They don't know the facts…
Those people choose to live in the city just as I choose to live up here, I don't need nor does anyone else Need the nanny state telling us what to do.
. Some are making it political.. Governer Rick Scott made a statement on a public announcement tonight, and he said please get out now, because "We can rebuild your house, but we can't rebuild your lives". This was a nanny state statement if you ask me. Who would think that the government is responsible for rebuilding people's homes ? Interesting.

It looks as though Miami will be unaffected...

What are you looking at that leads you to think that? You are aware that the paths shown on news reports pertain to the eye of the hurricane, not the whole hurricane, aren't you?

I'm looking at a hurricane having a ~300 mile diameter, which is about twice width of FL. That the eye of the hurricane may miss Miami is absolutely no basis for thinking Miami "will be unaffected."

I'm hearing that Miami will suffer storm surge for sure. Parts of Miami flood in passing-through heavy rain. In my mind, suffering storm surge is far from "unaffected."

Forecasted track and wind speeds at 6:00 p.m. today. (It's ~6:30 p.m. as I write this.)

Charleston, SC and points farther north on the Atlantic coast appear unlikely to suffer much beyond heavy rain, flooding, and high winds of the sort brought by a big thunderstorm.

In any case, my idea of "unaffected" is what London, England will experience as a result of Irma.

No, he doesn't, he doesn't live anywhere near an ocean and doesn't know shit.
STORM SURGE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR Miami ... Forecast: 45-60 mph with gusts to 80 mph - Window for Tropical Storm force winds: until ...
While it is a bad storm, is just that - a tropical storm not a hurricane for Miami…

I bet you are so fucking so stupid you didn't know that in hurricanes you are more likely to drown from storm surge and flooding than wind. You spout your fucking mouth off about nothing you know of. Dumb fucking shit.

Sure are a lot of hurricane ignorant people here professing some sort of knowledge. Currently, this storm is larger than the country of France. I lived through three hurricanes, decades ago and one when I lived in Key West.

Rustic the joker is behaving like a typical loser boasting about living through typical snowfall in Montanna or wherever as compared to a massive hurricane. Just childish.

I don't know if much of Key West is going to survive this one, Markle! 15 foot storm surge on those islands won't leave much behind!

I would NOT have stayed through this one.

There are 42 bridges in about 120 miles to Key West. If one goes down or has major structural damage, supplies South of that break will run short quick. Also, before they can allow traffic, each bridge has to be inspected. Now there are modern 4 lane bridges. When I lived there the bridges were 2 narrow lanes. Watching 2 tractor trailers meet was a thrill.... The railing on the Seven Mile Bridge and some others were made of the rails from the old train that went to Key West and was destroyed in the horrendous 1935 hurricane.
. Talking about the labor day hurricane.. No naming of hurricanes back then yet. Yes when Katrina went into New Orleans there were bridges out that had Islanders stranded as I recall.

The National Weather Service is saying the storm surge is a couple feet for Miami, The West Coast forecast for Florida is in much worse shape. It seems the evacuation of Miami was premature... I feel sorry for the elderly and disabled people being displaced sitting all day out in the heat and humidity waiting for some shelter they did not need to seek out.

Talk about opportunistic just look at little Rubio... lol
Marco Rubio: Catch Up on 'Game of Thrones' in Shelter, Don't Get Killed by a Tree

Political correctness is in his blood… I can't stand these fuckers. :lmao:

Little Rubio thinks people will be sitting in shelters watching Game of Thrones? It's no wonder that silly fucker lost the primaries… :lame2:

Good news, the national hurricane center is saying that it will not strengthen - it will stay at three.

Let people make their own choices… they chose to live there

Was anyone forcibly removed from Miami? I'm not sure of the law in Florida and Miami regarding evacuation orders, but it seems to me that there are always people who stay in their homes and ignore such orders.
The mainstream media/government should keep their opinions to themselves then...

Now the media shouldn't report on severe weather, and government shouldn't inform the public of possible danger? Is this just a troll thread? :eusa_think:

Yep. OP is so desperate for attention he wants to repopulate Miami.
And I think he should do just that, and find out exactly how "unaffected" he is in a day or two.
Like I said, wind speed is going to be around 70 mph and the storm surge of a couple feet for miami... this is from the National Weather Service.
Pretty much perfect conditions for looters

Miami is only a couple of feet above the ocean. Ever been there?

Its funny every winter up here I get snowed in a few times for a week or more… preparation is key to survival.
I would not even consider evacuating - I know the snow is coming days ahead of time... it's 80 miles plus of gravel roads to the nearest town for me. Most times its at or below zero with 50-100 mph winds with feet of snow.
Never once have I relied on the government… LOL
. If your structure was weak or unsafe, you would get the heck out. Maybe you can't afford to get out ? What's up with you ?
I have a modest nice home, that can handle anything thrown at it up here sure I lose power for days at a time and that sort of deal but it's part of living up here. Ranchers and farmers have been doing it for over a century why should I be any different?
. You judge everything on your personal experiences ? Please stop.
Na, everyone that lives up here goes through the same thing several times a winter. And no one evacuates... nor is expected too

Can you drown in your snow?

No fear because the Ohio National Guard is on the way, reported this morning on local news.
