More men are single than women?

People are looking for careers. Not driving trucks.
Bullshit.
Like my two examples where my kids work.
RTs start out between $25 - $30 pet hour and is 100% a solid, growing career.
They just want to stay part time and have mommy/daddy take care of them.
That is the case all over America and Canada.

yeah... no
This generation is not interested in any of those things, work being the last thing on earth they want to do.
Hospitals everywhere are in critical need of staff. The young coming in all want to be PRN (in the medical world PRN is what they call part-timers) They don't want to work weekends, nights, holidays and will literally quit and go somewhere else if they are scheduled otherwise.
My daughter is a charge RT. She is responsible for scheduling tasks for about 24 RTs when she is on duty (major metro hospital) in the past couple years everyday she has to constantly put up with young staff. She has been doing this for 9 years... only had this problem in the last couple years.
My son is a Respiratory Specialist at one of the Midwest largest Childrens Hospitals, ranked #9 out of 250 childrens hospitals nationwide. Same thing. They simply cannot find enough young staff to replace retirees etc. Same thing... all the new staff are only interested in PRN and working when they want to... most living at home still. They entered the health industry, but don't give a rats ass about patients. Only themselves. Some of the staff that have been there for decades say it has never been like this before, most new staff are anxious to get all the experience they can = not GenZs they just want to earn enough money for play time. Still living at home.
Well if they don't work they don't get paid. So then they are forced to put in a few hours.

Aww, poor babies. They don't want to work these jobs so let them go on social programs because we don't want to have to put them out. We want jobs where you work from home in your PJs, watch television half the time, and not have to answer to any meanie supervisor. But we're not lazy. :eusa_shhh:
Not at all. They’re not working your shitty jobs because they’re in the city working at actual careers.

You shouldn’t attack others for being lazy. Truck drivers sit almost all day and are twice as likely to be obese.

Almost 1 in 5 young "adults" 25-30 are still living at home. That is staggering.
More than double the number of my generation. 3 times as many as Baby Boomers.
Which is why I told the kid in this thread... you guys want to extend your teenage years into your 30s. And expect the world to take care of you so you can still go outside and play all day. Or go to pride parades.

it is a two-fold problem: over generous social programs and kids not being allowed to grow up into real adults. Then some can't figure out why we have a labor shortage problem.

Nothing at all wrong with a kid working full time and living at home. Who is affected by this? Answer? Nobody.
Those working full time from home are in even a better spot.

Oh really? Then try it sometime and let us know how it works out. You'd probably be shitting yourself the first ten minutes.

If they are living at home and working full time it's a huge win for the nation. How is that scenario bad?

Actually I don't think my parents would approve of me bringing home a bimbo at 2:00 AM.

True. However the trend is less socialization and less bimbos and then less unwanted kids. That in turn means less kids conceived, abortion goes away on its own. Win win win.

The only thing that's a fact is you're an idiot. Your comment is as stupid as saying if I got into a car accident, you're paying for the repair even though I paid insurance premiums all of my life. You're not paying shit.
Your comment is as stupid as saying we should pay for your car accident today because you had insurance in the 80s.

Here’s how social security works. The government takes money out of my paycheck and gives it to you. That’s a fact.

I could. Easily.

But I like having a career instead. Better hours. Better for my family. Better benefits. Better health. Better fulfillment.

Not to mention advancement opportunities.

And if they AREN'T into naked Pride Parades, they get all mad because women want nothing to do with such losers, and call themselves "incels."

Did you miss the part where I said they all want to work part time?
Did I say full time? No I did not.
And who does it hurt? THEM. They prolong the problem they are going to have in life when they finally let go of mommy and daddy. Laying around playing video games, posting narcissistic selfies on TiKTok thinking people care about it... not exactly going to be productive members of society.
Right now they are a detriment. Nobody can depend on them. They are selfish, narcissistic and think the world revolves around their every want.

Data doesn’t back it up. Social welfare programs peaked in the 90s and were pulled back somewhat during the Clinton Administration.

That was exactly when prime age labor force participation was highest. It’s still very close to peak rates. Not even 2% off the highest it’s ever been.

No it's not a fact. The fact is I paid into the system and getting back what was promised to me. What kind of moron would pay into a system and not take what was promised to them?

If you don't like the system, then petition your commie leaders and tell them to get rid of these programs if you don't like how they operate.

That doesn't tell us anything.

UE is calculated by surveys. If you are surveyed and tell the worker you are unemployed but looking for work, you are considered as unemployed. If you tell the worker you are not employed nor looking for work, you are not considered unemployed and therefore not considered in the labor participation rate.

Yeah, you could easily. So can everybody else apparently which is why we are 50,000 drivers short in this country today.
