They are significantly affected by cold temperatures. They are big and heavy and a fire hazard. In addition, they are an ecological disaster to make and dispose of and the raw materials are scarce.

A lithium ion battery is fine for my weed wacker, power drill or for the battery in my firearms optics but in a vehicle they pretty much suck.

If we don't find a better technology this EV bullshit will never work out.

They wont because they wont sell. Nobody wants EV's......the public perception is not the reality. Look at the sales #'s.......they are a joke. Only 325,000 sold in the US last year......literally a sliver on a pie graph of all auto sales. Ford sold almost 700,00 F series trucks alone.

Most buyers dont buy for performance/acceleration alone. Go ride in a Tesla 3......the interior is like sitting in an interrogation room in a police station its so bare. Crappy quality too. And at 50K, most people will say "Nah"....if Im spending 50K, I want more luxury.

The climate crusaders dont understand the American car buyers preference. Consistent for the past 70 years. We are not Europeans. Most Americans buying crossovers and SUV's these days.........and NOBODY is going to buy an EV SUV. Waaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive.

Indeed.......but the bigger factor is, you dont get dick for what you pay for with an EV. Americans have no interest. Its that simple. The climate k00ks can talk about batteries 'til the cows come home but Americans like bigger cars ( always have ) and most dont like cheap crappy interiors when spending 50K +.
