Republicans and the Suppression of the Minority Vote!

I'm sure minorities appreciate white liberals telling them how to vote.
Minorities don't need to be told how to vote. All they need do is look at what red states are doing to the voting rules.
Which brings to mind the following question: Why would anyone living in a democracy stay a member of a party that is trying to take the vote away from minorities? Seems un-American to me but then again, we are speaking of the current republican party.

Are you trying to say that voter ID in the US would suppress minority votes? Because in many third world countries Voter ID is required and they vote just fine.

Like South Africa and Honduras.

Surely you're not trying to say that American minorities aren't as capable as third world citizens are you?
Get your head out of your ass tinydancer. There is more to this than just voter ID's. It involves restricting the places and times where one can get an ID. It involved combining several voting districts to guarantee long lines at the polls. It involves cutting the number of polling places in minority areas. It involves placing polling places in hard to reach locations. It involves cutting early voting dates to force people to take time off from work.
I'll ask you the same question that I asked rabbi: Do you believe that trying to take the vote away from fellow Americans is acceptable for a political party? In other words, is cheating to win okay with you?

I'm sure minorities appreciate white liberals telling them how to vote.
It's a foregone conclusion that they know full well who their true enemies are and it's not the Liberals! Reinforcing and reminding them about what they already know about Republicans and their dislike for them can only fire them up more to vote Against them.

Remind me again...who is it that believes minorities can't succeed without their help?

I'm sure minorities appreciate white liberals telling them how to vote.

No we actually love white republicans ignoring suppression of the minority votes and they also love the fact that you completely ignore minority participation in the movement.

Good stuff.
I'd believe that bullshit too, if I got all my "news" from progressive echo chambers.

YEs be apart of the far left political protected class or you will be ousted and not get on the government dole.

Yes you will be ousted and become another republican on the govt dole.

:eusa_shhh:

Aww CC, now all the republicans have to type "thats a lie" and hope that no one notices they cant elaborate further on it a-boo a-hoo

It's been elaborated on further many times...but you dutifully pretend it hasn't.

Dood. Try thinking for yourself for a change.

Yes, leave the liberals and join the conservatives where you can watch your tax dollars enrich the 1%'ers and you can work two minimum wage jobs (provided you can find them) to try to make ends meet. How could any minority turn down such a deal?
Yes, because things have been so rosy for black Americans under Obama:

Black Labor Force Participation Rate Under Obama Hits Rock Bottom ? Lowest Level Ever Recorded | The Gateway Pundit

Five years in to Barack Obama’s presidency, the number of African-Americans participating in the labor force has hit rock bottom.

black unemployment rate

The news media has ignored this stunning revelation from Friday’s monthly jobs report by the Labor Department.

The exception has been PBS, which interviewed economist Dean Baker who had written about it in a report published Friday.

“The drop in labor force participation was sharpest for African Americans, who saw a decline of 0.3 percentage points to 60.2 percent, the lowest rate since December of 1977. The rate for African American men fell 0.7 percentage points to 65.6 percent, the lowest on record. The decline in labor force participation was associated with a drop in the overall African American unemployment rate of 0.5 percentage points to 11.9, and a drop of 0.6 percentage points to 11.6 percent for African American men.”
Can you defend that rationally? Note the key word "rationally".

Why do you post crap like this? Rachel is speaking strictly for himself. In fact, there are millions of black Americans who will completely disagree with him.

There it is folks......."Why do you post crap like this?". The real question is why do you care? You'd like to delete that video, wouldn't you. It threatens you. Ever meet a nazi? Go look in a mirror.

Six States Already Moving Forward With Voting Restrictions After Supreme Court Decision

Less than 48 hours after the Supreme Court struck down Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, six of the nine states that had been covered in their entirety under the law’s “preclearance” formula have already taken steps toward restricting voting.
Say, here is a question rabbi: Do you think trying to stop people from voting is the way Americans should behave?

Rand Paul evidently doesn't want to be reminded of all the gerrymandering that has been going on to do just that! Texas, for one, is infamous in that regard. And his derogatory use of the term "brown", in particular, is akin to using the term "REDskins" that is now so unpopular and on its way out. He needs to be called on the carpet for that. He should have said 'Hispanics' or 'Latinos.' Saying "brown" is no way to warm up to and make friends with that ethnicity as much as his political party needs them! If talking about their race, he should know it's White. And just look at what the Brennan Center had to say about *what political party*, in general, introduced the most bills to try to curb voting. In conclusion, there is little reason to none for minorities to vote Republican!

Rand Paul: Republicans ?unfairly tarred? as trying to suppress minority voters

If Republicans have been trying to suppress the brown vote then they are failing miserably, as minority participation in voting has skyrocketed over the last 5 years.
The only thing more failed than GOP efforts to suppress the vote is this thread.
Yet, 48 hours after the Supreme Court gutted the voting rights act six red states passed voting laws that had been denied by the courts previously.

Why do you support people voting illegally? Why do you put your party's political power over the good of the nation? Why do you want to disenfranchise legal voters by allowing people to vote illegally?

Frankly, I could give a crap on what you post. The thing is one man's opinion is one man's opinion<PERIOD> But as you seem to be easily amused knock yourself out but keep these two numbers in mind: In the last election 93% of Black Americans and 73% of Hispanics voted for Obama.

Such arrogance, believing you're entitled to speak for entire groups of people.

Ron,I realize you're kinda dumb. But even you can recognize that ID requirements have not suppressed anyone's right to vote. Except those ineligible.
SO here's the question: Do you want people who are ineligible to vote voting anyway? Because that's what all these laws are about, not suppressing minority votes. That's bullshit.

Democrats have such contempt for democracy.
Virtually every court that has looked into illegal voting has found that the numbers of people who vote illegally are like .00001% of the population. In other words republicans are fixing a problem that does not exist. But since you support a party that believes cheating to win is acceptable I am sure you could care less about the facts.

Ron, why do you want it make it easier for illegals to vote? You keep avoiding this quesiton.

Courts have looked into people voting illegally and found that it occurs something like .00001% of the time. IN OTHER WORDS THE REPUBLICANS ARE PRETENDING TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT DOES NOT EXIST. Now, if you honestly believe what you have posted is the truth you are too stupid to waste any more time on.
