Republicans happy to see sequester and want it for rest of years!

Republicans want to lock in 'sequester' cuts for rest of year - latimes.com

They won't be happy until they push the unemployment rate over 10% again. If they keep the sequester in place for the rest of the year, we will see double digit unemployment again.

You are very likely to see double digit unemployment again, and it will have nothing to do with the sequester. However, the squester is a handy excuse. It keeps you from having to realize that Obama's fiscal policies are complete failures, and that keynesian economics is a farce.

You living on Mars? Real estate is coming back, unemployment applications are down, and the market is near record levels again. The sequester is one way that the GOP can say to Obama that he failed. They cannot win at the ballot box, so they will force another recession on the country. The repubs have it all figured out!

To Hell with the middle class. The only concern they have is the party of Old White Men.

Why do you put down republicans? Don't you know these are the geniuses that were beside themselves with euphoria over an impending Romney landslide?

Two freaking per cent reduction in spending and the lock step left who don't have an original thought in their heads think the world is coming to an end. You could knock off 10% of redundant commissions and sub-commissions and sub-sub commissions and delete failed bureaucracies and the bloated federal government wouldn't miss a beat. If the freaking media was doing it's job they would demand to know who ordered the releasing of illegal alien felons in order to scare the American public.

No, I am living in the real world where unemployment is still 7.8 percent, inflation is coming into full swing, and the fed is printing money as fast as the printing presses allow, just to cover the red ink of $trillion plus deficits and a $16.5 trillion debt. I am living in the real world, where the economy in the last quarter actually went negative again.

The stock market that you tout is a bubble caused by all the money the fed is printing. It can, and will, go back down just as fast as it came up. Housing is a positive sign, but that is a small part of the economy. You can send your "light at the end of the tunnel" and the "good times are just around the corner" back to the FDR and the 1930's. Same policies, same bad results.

Please explain your theory of how Obama's policies benefit the overall economy. Do you see any downside to unending trillion dollar deficits?

Obama is bankrupting our country, and you are worried about a little trim in more spending - you liberals are nuts. Let's see how you deal with some real impending cuts. I say you will act like the assholes in Greece.

What did we get for the 6, trillion that generations yet to be will have to pay for, and that all of us are paying for? I know - you liberals are close minded when it comes to math; debt, deficit. If it's not more spending; it doesn't compute :cuckoo:

President Obama owns the the weakest recovery since WWII, maybe the weakest ever.

Sequester is hype...its not even a cut in spending, it's a cut in the increase in spending. When our local school levy fails, the board makes sure the budget cuts are painful. Teachers, sports and bus service are cuts that amount to "payback" and Obama is just employing a variation of that same tactic. The president could allow the cuts to be specific instead of across-the-board; but he won't, he wants people to be afraid and plans to blame Republicans.

It's a good plan...American voters have proven themselves to be pretty gullible.

Sequester is the first battle in a war to stop the out of control spending.

You mean the sequester that Obama came up with?

Oh no, this is all Boehner. Everybody knows that.

If by everybody you mean liberals who know very little your correct.

Thanks GOP for 9/11, the stupidest wars ever, the meltdown, the Great World Recession, and 3 1/2 years of mindless no compromise obstruction and fear mongering. Great job. How brainwashed CAN the dupes get?

The Republicans can want all they want, but that will only last another 18 months, when their time in government comes to an end, with the 2014 mid-terms.

This is STILL the BS debt ceiling crisis fer chrissake...great job, Pubs!.

How about we just cut the spending, balance the budget and start paying off our debt. That way, we don't have to worry about the debt ceiling, ever.
