It has nothing to do with either fraud or corruption

It has to do with political philosophy. Republicans have an established philosopy of what is good for the wealthy is good for America
Everyone is viewed on how capable they are of helping the wealthy accumulate more wealth

The Poor: The enemy. They do not contribute so must be marginalized
Working Americans: Critical to corporate profits. Must be kept hungry and in fear of their jobs to maintain a low salary structure

IMO that is entirely ridiculous.

The fundamental philosophy of both parties is the same...both want more power and wealth for themselves, above all other things. They may go about gaining power and wealth differently, but their goals are the same.

From 2007 until the last presidential elections, the largest growth in food stamps were in 254 counties. 213 of those counties voted for Mitt Romney. Obviously they were white counties. Worse, is the way Republicans have treated this president. House Republicans approval rating is 7. One sixth of Obama's. The Conservative court is at 30%. The lowest ever.

The country is still suffering from the effects of Republican economic and foreign policy and right wingers are desperately trying to pin those failures on President Obama?

Then there are the endless insults publicly towards this president. Uppity? Tar baby? Hitler (I mean, come on. Hitler?)?

Then there is right wing hero Bundy. Blacks were better off as slaves.

And that other right wing hero, child killer Zimmerman.

Clearly Republicans don't want blacks. Not after all that.

Course, they don't want gays. That goes without saying.

Just the fact that Republicans pick out so many to hate, how are they going to "grow"? What makes them an attractive party to belong to besides who they malign?

As the education systems in predominately black cities systematically fail, from Atlanta, LA, Detroit, Chicago, NY, New Jersey--poll after poll shows that black parents are pro-choice when it come to education, but not when it comes to abortion.

If not for the black vote, state ballots in SC and California would not have succeeded at protecting traditional marriage.

The Democrat Party thrives off of poverty, and coincidentally its policies perpetuate poverty. Look at every city that is Democrat dominated and poverty will abound.

Let's get something straight. NAFTA negotiations began under Ronald Reagan in 1986 and concluded with the signing of the agreement in 1992 by H.W.Bush. It was left to the Clinton administration to get ratification from congress. NAFTA had strong support from Republicans and Democrats with the exception of the unions.

With or without NAFTA, hundreds of thousands of low skilled manufacturing job would have been lost. With NAFTA, they went to Mexico. Without NAFTA they would have gone to China. Free trade in the 21st century seems inevitable and there is no way labor intensive manufacturing in the US can compete with China and third world countries.

They really are. They are hypocrites as well. I'm sure they take tax breaks when they can. I'm sure they use Medicaid and SS when they can. When I was in college, my best friend's father died and she and her siblings got death benefits from the government. My disabled sister gets government assistance. All kinds of people benefit from government programs, including those who screech about it being a bad thing. They love it when they benefit from government programs, they just don't want anyone else to do so.

They want a 3rd world country where we have beggars in the streets, including children and families. Perhaps they've never been to such a place and seen what it is like. Or they are just cold hearted bastards indeed. What's interesting, and something we all know, is that it is the red states that use government assistance more than blue states. Could anything speak louder for their hypocrisy?

As well, look at history. Anyone with half a brain and a little education should be able to understand that there have always been poor people and always will be poor people. Are we supposed to treat them as they were treated in medieval times, as they are treated now in most 3rd world countries? Just ignore them, and even worse, distain them?
