Schumer's pipe dream, a trial with.....you know.....evidence.

All true, Biden was using Ukraine to launder US taxpayer money and no bribery or quid pro quo.
It's illegal for a candidate to solicit foreign aid for their campaign.
You mean, like when Hillary paid millions to Russia for a fake dossier to use against Trump?
Liar. Hillary didn't pay Russians. She paid Fusion GPS, an American firm.

Like I always say, if conservatives didn't lie, they'd have absolutely nothing to say.

She used a middleman. To hide the smear job she was paying for. Somehow that makes it OK with you? You're amusing as ever, Faun!
So you say, but you're a proven lying con tool who to this day can't prove she was involved with Fusion GPS hiring Steele.
How the Schiff Report Deals With Disinformation
How the Schiff Report Deals With Disinformation

The most important thing to understand about the reflexive Trumpette response to the mention of Schiff's name is how important it was for Trump and the right wing media consortium to smear Schiff as a predicate to the damning information they knew was coming from him.

Still claiming that the sleaziest politician to "grace" this country in many decades didn't know that Fusion GPS was cooking up a smear job on her political opponent? Poor misunderstood, Hillary! Too stupid to understand you can't run the State Department on servers hidden in your home...too clueless to know that Fusion GPS was behind a smear job on her opponent despite the fact that half of Washington did know! Like I said...you're as amusing as ever...
Be sure to let me know the day you become lucid enough to prove Hillary was involved in the hiring of Steele.

They are lost in the disinformation of the right wing media fever swamp. They'll never get out.

documents - WH released memo of the Trump's call with Zelensky where he complains about Ukraine not recieprocating generous American aid, then asks for political favors in investigating DNC server and Bidens.
But that's not what happened. Trump did ask that Ukraine look into possible corruption by a former VPOTUS.

Actually that IS what happened if you read the memo:

Trump: "I will say that we do a lot for Ukraine. We spend a lot of effort and a lot of time.....the United States has been very very good to Ukraine. I wouldn't say that it's reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good but the United States has been very very . good to Ukraine."

So thats Trump talking about Ukraine not reciprocating generous American Aid that he has held up

Trump: I would like you to do us a favor though ...I would like you to find out what happened with this whole siuation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike. has DNC server...The oter thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that.....I will. have Mr. Giuliani give you a call and I am also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to· the bottom of it. I'm sure you will figure it out.

And thats Trump following up the Quid with the Quo of Ukraine investigating Crowdstrike's supposed possetion of DNC Server and Bidens. Ukraine hasn't been earning their aid, and this is how they can make up for that.

Schumer, Pushing McConnell to Negotiate, Lays Out Plan for Impeachment Trial
The Senate Democratic leader wants to seek testimony from Mick Mulvaney, John Bolton and other White House officials, and subpoena documents the White House has withheld.
Schumer, Pushing McConnell to Negotiate, Lays Out Plan for Impeachment Trial

WASHINGTON — As the House prepared to make President Trump only the third president in American history to be impeached, the Senate’s top Democrat on Sunday laid out a detailed proposal for a Senate trial “in which all of the facts can be considered fully and fairly” — including subpoenas for documents the White House has withheld and witnesses it has prevented from testifying.

Senator Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader, presented the proposal in a letter to his Republican counterpart, Senator Mitch McConnell, in an opening move to force Republicans to negotiate over the shape and scope of the proceedings. Mr. McConnell had said last week that he was “taking my cues” from the White House, prompting Democrats to accuse him of abandoning his duty to render “impartial justice” in the trial.

In the letter, Mr. Schumer proposed a trial beginning Jan. 7 that would give each side a fixed amount of time to present its case, and called for four top White House officials who have not previously testified — including Mick Mulvaney, Mr. Trump’s acting chief of staff, and John R. Bolton, the president’s former national security adviser — to appear as witnesses.

Mr. Schumer also called for the Senate to subpoena documents that could shed light on the events at the heart of the charges against Mr. Trump: his campaign to enlist Ukraine to investigate his political rivals. And he set forth a specific timetable for each side to present its case, modeled on the one used when President Bill Clinton was tried in 1999. Mr. Clinton’s trial lasted about five weeks.

Chuck should know better by now than to think McTurtle has an interest in anything approximating the kind of deliberative trial the Senate is obligated conduct. This is why it was so important for Trump's specious narrative of an unfair process in the House to have been spewed (just as it was equally important to make the similarly, objectively false accusations about the Mueller probe). All the trained seals repeat the sham process lie endlessly and will keep doing so all through the phony process Mitch is about to orchestrate in close consultation with the WH (Mitch has adopted the Trumpian strategy of violating rules, ethics, and law right out in the open). Why does McTreason think he can get away with it? Because he knows from experience The Following will swallow any ball of shit he feeds them. They rather like it.
Schumer is wanting the Senate to do what the house should have done. Produce evidence of a crime.

Still claiming that the sleaziest politician to "grace" this country in many decades didn't know that Fusion GPS was cooking up a smear job on her political opponent?
Steele did not know who GPS' client was.

The DNC did not know Steele was doing the research or what sources he was using.

Trump is by far the sleaziest politician to disgrace this country.

They did produce evidence. They just couldn't produce all the evidence...........due to Trump's illegal obstruction of a congressional investigation. That's the evidence Schumer wants on the record.

Former White House counsel Donald McGahn must comply with House subpoena, judge rules
https://www.washingtonpost.com/loca...e26cc8-018d-11ea-8bab-0fc209e065a8_story.html

Former Trump White House counsel Donald McGahn must comply with a House subpoena, a federal court ruled Monday, finding that “no one is above the law” and that top presidential advisers cannot ignore congressional demands for information. The ruling raises the possibility that McGahn could be forced to testify as part of the impeachment inquiry.

U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson of Washington found no basis for a White House claim that the former counsel is “absolutely immune from compelled congressional testimony,” setting the stage for a historic separation-of-powers confrontation between the executive and legislative branches of the government.

Getting a liberal Federal judge to rule that a House subpoena is valid is hardly surprising, Berg! It's been going on throughout the Trump Presidency. Unfortunately for you...the Supreme Court Justices are the one's who's opinions really matter!

an impeachment is strictly political - it's not a criminal trial.

but why would stupid ass rw's give a fuk about that.

testimony - from many people directly involved. Most importantly from Trump's pointman on Ukraine, ambassador Sondland who got the job by donating a million dollars to Trump campaign. Sondland testified to well known among top level WH officials quid-pro-quo effort led by Juliani on behalf of Trump. He also testified to telling Ukranians and other diplomats that everything, even millitary aid release, is conditioned on public anouncement of investigations by Zelensky.
The House had not "many" but rather just one fact witness - Sondland - who admitted under oath that Trump did not require anything inappropriate of Zelensky, a fact supported by the latter.

That's a stupid argument. Trump said "No quid-pro-quo!!" and "I want nothing from Zelensky!!" on the day Congress opened investigations. They are OH-SHIT-I-BETTER-NOT-INCRIMINATE-MYSELF-FURTHER comments.

Nothing in Trump's prior communications with Sondland (as per his testimony) contradicts that he wanted Zelensky to publicly announce investigations into DNC server and Bidens.

Sondland was a Trump's pointman in Ukraine and Sondland certainly thought that Trump doesn't give a shit about Ukraine, certainly thought he wanted to pressure Zelensky to do those inapropriate things.

You are also wrong that he is "one fact witness", there were many and not a single one of them contradicted the prevailing case theory that Trump wanted Zelensky to go after Crowdstrike and Bidens and do so publicly. On the contrary, they all added remarkably consistent details to what happened and how this "drug deal" (as per Bolton) evolved.

We can have the full story if Juliani, Mulvaney, Bolton and other highly envolved witnesses testify before Congress. Democrats want that and Trump with Republicans are against these people testifying. If you don't understand WHY, then you are just stupid.

Because he had sex with some women other than his wife? That makes him a sleazier politician than someone who ran a Pay For Play scheme at the State Department...destroyed 30,000 emails that Congress was asking for...lied to the families of the four men killed in Benghazi...had her minions corrupt a presidential debate...and paid to have her political rival smeared?

If only you could demonstrate this is the case here - eh?
It's not easy when the president decides when he is allowed to be investigated.
I accept your concession of the point.

Biden misbehaved in ukraine while he was VP

That needs to be investigated
Who said he shouldn't be investigated?
And thats all trump wants to do

No phony FISA warrants or Deep State squealers lurking in the bushes around bidens mansion

Just an open investigation of the facts

Fusion GPS Lights a Candle for the ‘Pee Tape’

It’s around this point in the timeline that the conspiracy theories begin, and Simpson and Fritsch’s book goes to great lengths to defend Fusion against them. They say that while Democrats were paying for the work, the campaign did not direct it, and Elias, they claim, served as a kind of firewall between Fusion and Clinton. When the firm contracted Steele to investigate Trump’s ties to Russia, the former spy apparently didn’t know who Fusion’s client was. Days after Steele filed the first of his memos, Steele called Simpson to say he felt obligated to report his findings to the FBI. Steele believed he was witnessing a “crime in progress.” Simpson and Fritsch chose not to tell Elias, but eventually they also alerted law enforcement officials to their findings, including Bruce Ohr, a senior official in the Department of Justice. Ohr’s wife, a former CIA analyst and expert in Russian history, had done freelance work for Fusion. Simpson and Fritsch never imagined their connections to Steele, Clinton, the FBI, and Ohr would become public and subsequently provide the framework for a deep-state conspiracy theory.

You should have submitted all of your evidence to Schiff and Nadler before thy held their committee hearings and showed the world THEY have no crime, no evidence, and no witnesses.

Then again, Schiff claimed the same thing you are doing for 2+ years - that he had evidence of crimes committed by the President - before admitting he was lying / engaging in sedition. How long will it take you? I am betting your TDS will cause you to go to your grave believing Trump committed crimes while your beloved Democrats did not.

Correction. Baseless allegations have been made about Old Joe. We already know what happened. Shokin was removed for not investigating corruption in Ukraine at the insistence of the US, the EU, and the IMF. Full stop. Please, no more lies about Biden. It's getting tiresome.
If so then old joe the coal miners son has nothing to worry about
