I'm just trying to figure out the "WHY" part of this? Because you'll see some studies also saying Hispanic crimes have gone up as well as white crimes.

The why part is that 70-80% of blacks are born out of wedlock, which is the number one cause of poverty, thus the overwhelming trend towards crime.

First of all, a more relevant statistic, if we're comparing the situations of a member of one race actively suspecting danger from an unknown member of another race, would be the races' respective interracial stranger homicide rates. In 2005, black-offender/white-victim homicides accounted for 17.7% of all homicides; white-offender/black-victim homicides accounted for 4.5%. This means that whites are 393% more likely to be killed by a black stranger than vice versa. Of course, we haven't yet considered the fact that there are 484% more non-Hispanic whites in the U.S. than there are blacks. One would expect a significantly larger percentage of the population to commit a significantly larger percentage of murders.) Assuming the stranger homicide rate held constant during the period between the two measurements, this means that any given white person is 1902% more likely to be killed by an unknown black person than vice versa. So, tell me: "Given this mathematical truth, would anyone encourage African Americans to begin shooting suspicious white males in their neighborhoods for fear that they'll be raped, assaulted or murdered?" I would think probably not.
