Last night, Nancy Pelosi decided to adopt one of the dumbest strategies anyone has ever thought of in regards to how to handle impeachment. Namely, she’s threatening to not send the articles of impeachment, which passed last night in the House, to the Senate. This would mean Democrats are obstructing their own impeachment push.

For some reason, the far-left has convinced themselves that this will somehow bestow upon them great leverage by which to pummel Mitch McConnell with.

The Democrat message right now: Because Trump obstructed the House we are going to prevent the Senate from taking up the charges against him, and also he's such an "urgent threat" to America that we must rush to impeach him right now and then block the Senate from taking action.

With support for impeachment dropping by the day, the Democrats come across as just playing games, which is exactly what they are doing.

Pelosi has left her party with no out and now she’s got to live with the consequences. If she sends impeachment to the Senate, Trump is acquitted and gets to brag about it. If she doesn’t, voters will conclude impeachment was nothing but a political sham that was never serious in the first place.

No matter how Democrats play this, a losing hand awaits them. McConnell calling her bluff just adds insult to injury.

I don't know how that all works, but if they don't send it to the Senate, then it's not an impeachment I would think. And they can't hold onto it forever. Mitch should give them a deadline, and if the commies don't like it, take it to court.

I doubt that the Court will get involved.

The House has gotten cold feet in front of the entire country and is second-guessing whether they even want to go to trial after claiming impeachment was so urgent that it could not even wait for due process or an election. Now they’re content to sit on their hands. The Court isn't going to force them to file charges. This is really comical. Democrats’ own actions concede that their allegations are unproven and pose no immediate threat. The articles aren’t just unproven, they’re also constitutionally incoherent. Without charges filed, the President has not been impeached.

Understood, but I don't want these jokers coming out in March and saying "The polls look better now, we want to send this to the Senate!"

Don't put it past them. If there is a SCOTUS opening, they could launch it and claim that a President under impeachment shouldn't make a lifetime appointment.

These guys are irrational enough to do anything, so there isn't much need for us to worry about it. We just need to turn our voters out in the election.

To be honest, I think they are turning out our voters in the election. Trump is such a threat that immediate action must be taken. Not that we want to do it.....nooooo, but it's our duty.

Now that they did it, Piglosi will not send it to the Senate, which nullifies their claim of urgency. Instead.....let's have a nice Christmas......I mean Holiday vacation. After all, we get such little time off in the House.

So impeached Tramp approved the money to Ukraine while they were the 3rd most corrupt country with a corrupt Russia loving president in 2017, and again in 2018, but suddenly when Ukraine gets an anti Russia and anti corruption president in 2019, the corrupt and impeached Tramp cares about corruption so much he cuts off money to an honest president.

He didn't cutoff anything. He withheld money (like Obama did during his time in office) to do his own checking and to investigate what other UN countries were contributing to the cause; something that's been a focus of his since he ran for President.

The other UN countries contributed MORE than impeached Tramp, and impeached Tramp checked nothing.
