Very true. Since Jesus is one and only way to heaven and the alternative is hell.
.
being on the wrong side of history is the physical proof of 4th century christianities fallacy and distortion of Truths whether granted or found they purposefully prevent from resolution for themselves and others preventing the very Admission to the Everlasting they profess to be their goal.
What's "the wrong side of history"?

That is not the history of Christianity. It is the history of evil men claiming to be Christians. Do you comprehend the difference?

Go therefore and make disciples...etc

This is the job of Christians as stated by Jesus, so, if you wonder why many Christians are "pushing" their agenda, this is one reason why

The other reason is the 2nd greatest commandment, to love others. Realize, to a Christian, the best way to show love to their fellow man is to tell them the "Good News", as they believe the life that really matters is the afterlife.. not this one on Earth
There are some proselyting groups in Christianity, but not all.

Catholics don't really proselyte and certainly not among other Christians.

Most Protestants don't either.

But is that a positive or negative thing?

But first, make your tax-deductible offering!

Ah, first I must work and pay my taxes before I can make an offering that is tax deductible.

Seriously, religion = philosophy = the code some choose to live by. It acts as the point North on a compass or the North Star at night. It is a guide by which to steer.

It puzzles me that what works for some gets others so bent out of shape and snarky.

Ah, first I must work and pay my taxes before I can make an offering that is tax deductible.

Unfortunately because of the work of corporations, the vast majority of Americans don't make enough income to itemize but take the personal deduction which is more valuable.

My use of the term 'make your tax-deductible offering' was making light of religions marketing scam.

Seriously, religion = philosophy = the code some choose to live by. It acts as the point North on a compass or the North Star at night. It is a guide by which to steer.

If folks would live by reason over faith they'd be living better in every respect.

It puzzles me that what works for some gets others so bent out of shape and snarky.

People need to put on their big-boy-pants and not approach religion with their eyes wide shut. If people need religion to feel comfort, they need to find whats missing in their life, put on their big-boy-pants, and fix the problem.

Christianity promotes the virtues of thankfulness, forgiveness, humility, chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience and kindness. Christianity is responsible for the creation of wonderful charities and organizations which serve the betterment of man. Christians and Christian institutions are usually the first source of literacy, education, and healthcare in the poorer regions.Christians and Christian institutions have been the source of abundant human services from hospitals, orphanages, nursing homes, and schools, to advocacy on behalf of those with no voice, to supporting cultural outreaches, and seeking always to find ways in which to protect and promote human life and its authentic flourishing. Christianity gave us the concept of subsidiarity and has done what no government can ever do, namely teach morality and civility Christianity teaches accountability and responsibility. Christianity teaches that we have a choice in how we behave and that actions have consequences. Christianity inspires a sense of wonder in nature and the universe and helps us feel connected to one another and to nature through regular community gatherings. Christianity helps us feel less alone in the world by binding the community together. Christianity serves to ennoble the human spirit and inspires love, peace and happiness. Christianity brings order to our lives by promoting the virtues of thankfulness, forgiveness and humility. Christianity brings comfort to the terminally ill and can act as a source of hope for the oppressed. Christianity teaches that we can transform ourselves. That it is possible to change for the better. Christian values were the foundation which Western Civilization was built upon. No other institution played a greater role in shaping Western Civilization than the Catholic Church. Modern science was born in the Catholic Church. Catholic priests developed the idea of free-market. The Catholic Church invented the university. Western law grew out of Church canon law. The Church humanized the West by insisting on the sacredness of all human life. The Church constantly sought to alleviate the evils of slavery and repeatedly denounced the mass enslavement of conquered populations and the infamous slave trade, thereby undermining slavery at its sources. Religion gave us great thinkers, leaders and humanitarians. Christianity gave us America. Christianity gave us incredible artwork, music and architecture. Christianity has spread democracy throughout the world. Christians fought other Christians in WWII to end their aggression and rebuilt Europe and Japan after WWII. Christians put a man on the moon and ended the cold war.

Here's some facts for ya

Vatican Inc.: 5 facts about the business of the Catholic Church

Wealth of Roman Catholic Church impossible to calculate

I like this one; '31 In millions of dollars, the amount seized from the Vatican bank by Italian authorities during an investigation into money laundering.' Are they the Mob?
Awesome. Thanks. Anything else you want to get off your chest?

Defining the Mafia.

religion=Christians=Muslims=war and killing

This barely scratches the surface. No religion was founded for military/warrior purposes.

The underlying cause of war is greed. People want more treasure, more power--and they will fight to gain it. On the other side, rather than yielding power and treasure, people will fight to retain what they have.

Religion, to the truly faithful, is treasure. Many would more willingly give up monetary and property treasure before they would give up the treasure their faith has instilled within. They will fight to retain religious beliefs, practices, and traditions.

Those with greed for power in mind want to harness that power of religion for their own use--and are sometimes successful. The power of God--and the power of those who believe in God--is a force to be reckoned with. Throughout history we see those who misuse it for their own purposes usually, in the long run, end up paying dearly. Those who are short-sighted could not care less about the long term. They have what they want for their life and see the future as someone else's problem.

Congrats, you've defined most baby boomers!

Can you clarify that just a little?

People need religion to feel comfort? Says who? My faith tells me to pick up my cross daily, so don't talk to Christians about "big boy pants."

Religion is a philosophy, a code people choose to live by, especially during tough times.

Religion is for people who never got over finding out that Santa Claus wasn't real.

Actually it's not. It's for people who are unafraid to explore realms beyond the five senses. There are enough settlers--settling for what can be known by humans--and who have no interest in investigations that extend beyond.

actually, scientists are always looking further, unlike theists who have no proof yet don't keep looking.

Scientist are involved in exploring what can be measured with the five senses--and good for us scientists. Religion, however, is not a science. It is a philosophy. Philosophy goes beyond what can be measured with our five senses into that which cannot.

Philosophy doesn't have anything provable, so not valid for proving god, only good for musing about the possibilities...

I wonder who first got it into their heads to "prove" God? Scientific proof requires physical data, so by definition, God cannot be "proved".

God is described as the perfect, or the ideal. What good religions do is point to the perfect or ideal way of life. It's about teaching the ideal Good...not the good enough.
