Vatican court head: No communion for Nancy Pelosi

Oh, I hate for a specific reason.

for 2000 years, the Catholic Church has molested and abused children, burned witches, executed heretics, tortured unbelievers, launched "Holy" Wars, collaborated with Nazis and dictators and generally done a lot of horrible things in the name of their imaginary sky pixie.

And then they have the GALL to tell a woman that she can't have birth control pills that she probably needs for a legitimate medical need.

Well if any were related to you I'd say it was Karma in advance...you are racking up massive karmic retribution.

My Grandparents (Good German Catholics) left Germany because of the Nazis, who the Pope just looooooved.

Oh, yeah, I don't only worry about the bad things that are done to me personally.

You rage in your impotence...a small man who nobody really cares about....

Well, since there is no God, we don't have to worry about that, then.

Well since you are batshit insane....I really don't see any value in your opinion.

Remember...I don't practice any religion....and unlike you I don't hate for no reason.

The woman you are referring to in your post that the Church denies birth control pills to has no need to belong to the Catholic Church then.

If one wants to belong to the Catholic Church one plays by the rules. If you don't like the rules, don't be a member.

It's not rocket science.

No, it isn't.

It's also hypocritical when the Catholic Church knows DAMNED WELL 96% of their faithful are practicing some kind of birth control.

And a lot of them are living together without the benefit of marriage for YEARS before actually tying the knot in a church.

But they turn a blind eye to these sorts of thing because no one wants a buzzkill from the pulpit judging them, and damn, those pews are already empty enough on regular services on Sunday.

either you are going to be strict on sin, or you're not.

Fine.

Explain why you hate Lutherans, and other Protestants, that actually protested against the very things you mentioned, and were victims of it themselves.

Well, I'm more potent than your imaginary sky man...

Oh, yeah, abortion is still legal. Suck it... loser.

LOL...poor Joe...as I said, you rage in your impotence....nobody cares about you...about what you think....or about who you are....your anger is simply symptomatic of your lack of relevance.

I am sorry little man.

Actually, you'd be hard pressed to find me criticizing Lutherans. Catholics and Mormons are much higher priority for me in the "Stupid God Tricks" section.

Martin Luther did write a wonderful book called "The Jews and their Lies" which I'm sure didn't influence German thinking about Jews at all.

No, you are following me around like a yappy dog nipping at my heels because you don't care..

Really.

The Bible doesn't state when life begins. People have come to their own conclusions, hence the battle.

Really?

"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations."

Jeremiah 1:5

Of course it does.

So God knew the woman was going to have sex? And therefore God knew if that woman would be raped. And therefore God allowed the rape to happen because rape babies are a gift - right?

If one believes in God and the Word there is no doubt that every child is a gift from God.

The rape is evil and a sin that must be condemned but the child is the innocent and the gift of life from the Lord.

It really should be a no brainer that the child is an innocent.

Rome makes the calls on how sins are dealt with. Their Church, their rules, their judgements.

That's all fine and everything, but everyone treats the Pope (or at least the last two) like they are senile old uncles that creep out all your female cousins.

The thing was, the Churches were all for ObamaCare when they thought their hospitals were going to get a big windfall from being compensated for all those folks who show up at the emergency room finally having insurance.

Then they saw the string attached, and they flipped out.

When was that ever the topic of this thread?

Doesn't refer to the topic; it refers directly to the poster's quote I quoted.

I even put the relevant part in bold. Not sure what else I can do.

The part where he said that she has violated the church's position on abortion?

Here is your chance to learn, don't waste it.

Pelosi also laughed off a letter issued by Priests for Life last week demanding she renounce her Catholic faith for “betraying and misrepresenting the Catholic faith” by supporting a woman’s right to choose. The congresswoman said she has no problem reconciling her faith with her pro-choice stance:
My faith is very deep and has been my whole life. I love my faith and my faith has nothing to do with whoever he is. The arrogance of it all! It’s like something ancient, medieval…The Church taught me as I was growing up that every person has a free will and has the responsibility to live up to a moral standard. And I respect women’s judgment and values to do that. Whether this priest thinks his judgment should be another woman’s judgment is absolutely ridiculous to me. But nonetheless it’s what they say. I grant the Church where they are on abortion. That’s where they are, that’s where they have to be. But my faith isn’t about what their position is. My faith is about, Christ is my savior, the church is his church, and has nothing to do with Priests for Life…I wouldn’t even dignify whatever it is they said. It was a highly emotional statement that they made. If it were more intellectual I might have paid attention to it. He was acting hysterically.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi Warns The War On Women Isn't Over | ThinkProgress

She got barred from communion for this, not because you are dumber than most of the people that vote for her.

Excellent. Just when it seems you've raised the bar on TheStupid unreachably high, you reach back and proceed to outdo yourself.

That's a response not to the Church but to Frank Pavone.
And I am compelled to reiterate due to unusual density: Nancy Pelosi has neither received nor performed abortions.

Again there is no "thou shalt not represent" commandment. Nor is a "thou shalt not support..." or a "thou shalt not vote 'aye' on Bill X" commandment.

You could look it up.

Duh.

Our government would love to be in control of ALL the churches in the U.S. First, you should decide whether they do or not. Then, you must learn the difference between private and public domain.

That's why Obama is a spineless jelly fish. He should have pushed for a vote to limit birth control, when he had the chance.

Ummm... no, not really.

The Churches got a specific exemption for CHURCH operations.

All the other businesses they own have to obey the law just like the rest of us do.

The insanity that you don't have to obey a law because it is against your religion will just lead to chaos.

How many years have you gone to church?

I ran screaming from organized religion right after the nun told me God had a good reason for my mom to die of cancer.
