Was Kamala from a middle-class family, or was it just another lie, one of many the moderators failed to check?

Really, my sig other has worked in higher education for over 30 years, I'm very familiar with it. would you call $204,193 per year 'middle class'. You will now, won't you? :auiqs.jpg:

Stanford University professors earn an average of $204,193 per year, which is 105% higher than the national average. Here are some other faculty salaries at Stanford University:
  • Assistant Professor: $198,035 per year
  • Instructor: $88,612 per year
  • Teaching Assistant: $43,836 per year
  • Lecturer: $79,516 per year
  • Graduate Assistant: $40,759 per year
    • Clinical Instructor: $148,429 per year
According to Glassdoor, the estimated total pay range for a Stanford University professor is between $139,000 and $251,000 per year. This includes the base salary and additional pay, such as cash bonuses, stock, commission, profit sharing, or tips.
Correct, Harris' mother was making that salary long before Kamala became an adult. If you're middle class on the equivalent of $200K a year, something's wrong. Maybe she had a gambling problem. And then we add in child support from her estranged father, assuming he wasn't another worthless Communist deadbeat dad

Shyamala Gopalan was a biomedical scientist who studied the progesterone receptor gene and breast cancer. She was the mother of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and Maya Harris,

They were also immigrants.

The father was a professor and economist.

The marriage did not last and the mother and girls moved to California

There is no reason to doubt her as its not as important as some seem to make it out to be

Harris was able to go to college and eventually worked in the DA office

So it was a broken family but both were professionals.

What is a lie is others who think they know best

Just an attempt to smear her.
You misspelled Canada!

Thanks for the irrelevant information of what they make in 2024.

Now back to 1972.

What a professor made and what you think he paid in child support.

And, go.

Trump has never worked.

He never shopped in a grocery.

He never drove his own car.

He sued thousands of middle class contractors to keep from paying what he owed..

He literally scammed rubes to go to his university, buy his steaks, wear his shoes, pray to HIS Bible.
How did he make so much money if he never "worked"?

Many people in NY never drove. My fellow Navy officer friend from NY drove ships for a living but had no driver's license for a car because he grew up in NYC.

What were the results of those suits? Did he have to pay or not?

Only 30 people sued him over the school compared to hundreds of apparently satisfied customers.

Neither has Harris. He's never lied and said he was a member of the middle class either. He also never claimed to be "That little black girl in Oakland that was bussed." either. LOL, in 1970 when she lived in Berkeley six years after the CRA of 1964.
She was bussed simply because of that CRA and the color of her skin was dark, and back then you were black. Would she have preferred the alternative? Note that she never said.

It's only irrelevant to you since it doesn't help you at all, it shows that Stanford professors earn 105% higher than the national average. Reveals your ignorance on what university profs earn, especially ones that are at Ivy League schools. Prove that it was any different in 1972.

What I believe he may have paid in child support is irrelevant, it has no bearing on anything. Prove that he didn't support her over and above what was required of him. What does have bearing is that her mother was also a professor and researcher at an Ivy League school as well and was most likely also making way over the national average. Harris lived an upper class lifestyle when she was growing up, you have presented nothing to oppose that assertion here, other than 'nuh uh'. Try harder.

It's irrelevant because it's today's salary.

And by the way:

Yes, that's middle class, when you live in that area. Which just makes you look even sillier.

You guys are just beside yourselves because you are uneducated slobs who think professors are demon millionaires.

It's proving that professors at Stanford make 105% over the national average, let's see your numbers or any proof at all that it was any different in 1972, other than 'nuh uh'.

And only a moron would not then also look at cost of living.

The proof was already posted in the thread. You're rabid. And embarrassing yourself.

Yes, I saw exactly what was posted about her mother's career and employment history, you keep ignoring it.

What's embarrassing is an arrogant asshole who thinks he has some kind of intellectual superiority over others simply by posting personal insults and 'nuh uh' the entire way through the thread. 🤡
