Welcome to Your New Overlords, Californians!

You can take a shower.
You can do one load of laundry.

But if you do both, it’s a $1,000 a day fine.

Under drought conditions it goes to $10,000 a day.

As the one reporter said - I can smoke pot but I can’t shower and do laundry!

Democrats in FULL GLORY!

what do you suggest given the drought problems that Cali has had?

Population reduction. Round up illegals and send them back.

A ban on watering your grass would be acceptable. Perhaps no washing cars either.

Who would want to live in that cesspool of a state?

Pot takes a LOT of water to grow, but that’s OK because it keeps the masses sedated.

Make it? I’ve been in jungles of Souteast Asia with better infrastructure.

i'm seeing any possible fines are for agencies - not individuals.

Looks like they are not able to tell inside use from outside as well as how many people reside at your house. If there were fines which it appears there are not it doesn't look like they'd be able to collect anyway.

Interesting. Appears to be from June of 2016. I could not find anything from 2019 or of course 2020 since this is only day 2. I guess they were taking the drought pretty serious limiting to 55 gallons a day. I remember when military logistics tables called for 35 gallons water, ice and fluids combined for troops in the field per man per day. I remember spending some time at a Luftwaffe base near Kitzigen, Germany. Really nice facilities, but all the sinks and showers had the automatic timers to shut the water off, so you had to keep hitting the button to get through a shower or even shave. Other than that, some of the best quarters I ever had.

There is no drought in California.

As far as I could find searching the internet, there are no new water restriction that went into effect in California yesterday. I think you are referring to restrictions that were to go into effect after the 2016 drought. I though last winter put their reservoirs at high levels not seen in last 10 years. Glad I don't liver there, none the less. If I missed it, point me to it.

When you live in a place where the government hands out free syringes, but outlaws plastic straws, it's time to reconsider who you are voting for.

The Asian guy said a load of laundry takes 40 to 50 gallons of water.

If you have a High Efficiency washer, they use about 20 gallons. Some use even less.

It's not as bad as misgendering someone, 250K fine for that.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Southern California was a desert and will return to being a desert. We can fight Mother Nature for only so long.

When you don't understand the reason needle exchange programs exist and needlessly compare them to something unrelated it's time read up on the subject.
