Slavery would have died whether or not we went to War or Not.........Many in the South wanted it to end as well.....And then there were those like Bedford Forrest who were hell bent on it staying forever...............We went to war because the states wanted a government that assured their right to keep others in bondageLOLPower centered in the states made sense when we were a nation distributed over a large area with poor transportation and limited co municationThat all started during and after the Civil War....When states rights fought a war and the war won...Our main failure was that we didn't heed the warnings of our Founding Fathers.................
They warned us over and over again about the dangers of giving the Central Government too much power......It is exactly why they limited the scope of Gov't to Enumerated Powers................
They did this after studying the rise and fall of other powers in deciding to make this country a Republic............
Since we gave these excessive powers............our Gov't has become ENORMOUS in size and scope.............and these leaders have used it for self gain.............and they have used it to abuse the powers prescribed under the Constitution........To take from one to give to another in claiming it is for the General Welfare................
Instead of LOCAL gov'ts deciding what is best for themselves at a local level...........
And here lies the demise of our Republic................and History of those before us making the same mistakes.
We saw the dangers of too much power in the states during the civil war. We moved from being a bunch of states that were united to THE UNITED STATES
We went to War because the States felt that the power of the Central Gov't had become too large............The States felt the Gov't had overstepped it's boundaries with Lincoln ordering through temporary power of all 3 branches of Gov't..............Most of the people who fought in the Civil War didn't own slaves............
You are now trying to twist the meaning of the Founding Fathers to JUSTIFY a LARGE CENTRAL GOV'T............
Which is simply WRONG.
Another example of where too much power in the states is bad
The establishment of a strong middle class had much to do with making our nation greatMiddle class and unions to improve their lives and wages.
The very settlers of the New World.........aka the United States came here to escape Religious Persecution of Europe.Given the Christian leanings of the population, our founders could have easily set up a nation built around the trappings of religionThey feared another type of Government in regards to religion as they studied the past governments of the world. Our founders saw the danger in an official religionYou poor, poor ignorant person. The mention of God or his character doesn't have to always come in the form of literally calling out ones name or seeing a physical presence as in a photo if actually had one, but it can come in the form of ones intent or message placed within the content of a statement. Our founders intentionally kept God out
A physical presence as in body in sight of or direct wording as to mention by name is not needed, but only that the spirit in which guides our very actions afterwards, is all that is needed.
Hey it's like an instructional, where as once read and then applied you have the results. Anything good is the result of God, while anything bad is the result of the evil one. Take your choice.

Most of Europe was like that
Freedom of religion was not the establishment of religion in our government but an assurance you can have any religion you want (or no religion) WITHOUT government influence or interference
It was quite on the minds of the Founding Fathers when they created the Republic............
They understood that while they were fundamentally Christian here..............they wanted to prevent Religious Persecution that got so many to leave Europe in the settling of this country.
It doesn't mean the Religion was dead with them...........many of the laws had God in it.............it simply meant that they were not allowing Fuedalism associated with Religion and mistakes of Europe............
To prevent persecution of those of different faiths.

The loss of a voice in National Laws were just as much a cause for the conflict as was Slavery.
But Slavery was the straw that broke the camels back............
Even after the War..........those freed slaves who escaped North ended up in Ghetto's to work for virtually nothing in Northern Factories................
It had far more than Slavery for the War..................and NO BEARING on the MEANING OF THE FOUNDING FATHERS.
Education is a wonderful thing, and yet in this year of 2018 we have college students when asked in the streets questions about our government and the nation's history, they answer as if they are first graders. How sad is that ??History of 'In God We Trust'
The motto IN GOD WE TRUST was placed on United States coins largely because of the increased religious sentiment existing during the Civil War. Secretary of the Treasury Salmon P. Chase received many appeals from devout persons throughout the country, urging that the United States recognize the Deity on United States coins. From Treasury Department records, it appears that the first such appeal came in a letter dated November 13, 1861. It was written to Secretary Chase by Rev. M. R. Watkinson, Minister of the Gospel from Ridleyville, Pennsylvania, and read:
Dear Sir: You are about to submit your annual report to the Congress respecting the affairs of the national finances.
One fact touching our currency has hitherto been seriously overlooked. I mean the recognition of the Almighty God in some form on our coins.
You are probably a Christian. What if our Republic were not shattered beyond reconstruction? Would not the antiquaries of succeeding centuries rightly reason from our past that we were a heathen nation? What I propose is that instead of the goddess of liberty we shall have next inside the 13 stars a ring inscribed with the words PERPETUAL UNION; within the ring the allseeing eye, crowned with a halo; beneath this eye the American flag, bearing in its field stars equal to the number of the States united; in the folds of the bars the words GOD, LIBERTY, LAW.
This would make a beautiful coin, to which no possible citizen could object. This would relieve us from the ignominy of heathenism. This would place us openly under the Divine protection we have personally claimed. From my hearth I have felt our national shame in disowning God as not the least of our present national disasters.
To you first I address a subject that must be agitated.
As a result, Secretary Chase instructed James Pollock, Director of the Mint at Philadelphia, to prepare a motto, in a letter dated November 20, 1861: Dear Sir: No nation can be strong except in the strength of God, or safe except in His defense. The trust of our people in God should be declared on our national coins.
You will cause a device to be prepared without unnecessary delay with a motto expressing in the fewest and tersest words possible this national recognition.
It was found that the Act of Congress dated January 18, 1837, prescribed the mottoes and devices that should be placed upon the coins of the United States. This meant that the mint could make no changes without the enactment of additional legislation by the Congress. In December 1863, the Director of the Mint submitted designs for new one-cent coin, two-cent coin, and three-cent coin to Secretary Chase for approval. He proposed that upon the designs either OUR COUNTRY; OUR GOD or GOD, OUR TRUST should appear as a motto on the coins. In a letter to the Mint Director on December 9, 1863, Secretary Chase stated: I approve your mottoes, only suggesting that on that with the Washington obverse the motto should begin with the word OUR, so as to read OUR GOD AND OUR COUNTRY. And on that with the shield, it should be changed so as to read: IN GOD WE TRUST.
The Congress passed the Act of April 22, 1864. This legislation changed the composition of the one-cent coin and authorized the minting of the two-cent coin. The Mint Director was directed to develop the designs for these coins for final approval of the Secretary. IN GOD WE TRUST first appeared on the 1864 two-cent coin

Like Casey Stengel said......you can look it upBefore spouting your ignorance, why don't you educate yourself ?? Good grief. That was forced on our currency during the Red Scare in the 50sView attachment 186686It was never in the federal government..
Founders had nothing to do with it
You might learn something

The Confederacy was established to ensure the existence of slavery in perpetuity.
It was a nation where 40 percent of the population was held in bondage
Once slavery was abolished, those states established Jim Crow laws that officially established blacks as second class citizens

Hmmm, I think God might have left Y'all during the Indian genocide campaigns and He hasn't looked back. Satan took up refuge in His absence.Putting God first, and including him in spirit into the Constitution. We couldn't have written a Constitution such as we have without him being added into the mix.Its Constitution.
The reason we are claiming that we need to MAGA now, is because over the years there has been a negative force that has been attempting to remove God from everywhere in this nation.
It has been a relentless game of attrition that has been conducted by this negative force against us, yet it has been pushed back, and it is losing ground lately.
Hopefully the trend continues in the right direction which is to keep God in our midst always, and to continue to pray that he accepts our invitation to dwell amongst us always.
. At some point we as a nation must get back to the great things in which we knew and believed, and this aside from the sins that we had committed in our history where men had decided to do unGodly things in which allowed the evil one to take advantage of such things that separated us and continues to destroy us to this very day.BullshitSlavery would have died whether or not we went to War or Not.........Many in the South wanted it to end as well.....And then there were those like Bedford Forrest who were hell bent on it staying forever...............We went to war because the states wanted a government that assured their right to keep others in bondageLOLPower centered in the states made sense when we were a nation distributed over a large area with poor transportation and limited co municationThat all started during and after the Civil War....When states rights fought a war and the war won...

Britain was the powerhouse/superpower in the 19th century --did they put god in ''their constitution''? or Japan? god has nothing to do with itPutting God first, and including him in spirit into the Constitution. Cultures that had a common theme where as they believed in God, and that is what made this country work, and what ultimately unified it.All the different cultures that came over to build the nation also made it great.
..I have to disagree somewhat --Britain did not have much resources and definitely not much room--but they were a superpower/powerhouse that ruled ''the world''....they went out and took/produced/wanted resourcesWhat made us great
Abundant national resources
Check between the power of capitalism and the rights of the people
Immigration
All men are created equal
Only surviving economy afterWWII
So you finally admit that you are possessed by The Devil.
Now it all makes sense why you are so full of hate for America. And btw, speaking of Indian Genocide Democrat founder Andrew Jackson did that, just like Democrats enslaved African Americans.
The party of oppression still is out there oppressing freedom every day.
Say hi to the Grand Wizard at your next Democrat KKK meeting.
