why is this a good plan?

I'm almost to the point of not even voting anymore at least in Presidential elections. It's to the point now where it's the same assholes just with a different letter next to their name if my choice this year is Trump or Hillary I'm 95 percent sure I will be staying home on Election Day.

Except..

One more Kagan on the SCOTUS and this nation is over.

And when Trump nominates a judge like his liberal sister whom he said would make an amazing justice, what then?

We've already settle that Trump will nominate Judge Roy Moore and later he will nominate David Dukes. We want some fine upstanding patriots on the bench for a change.

We are angry with the GOP establishment because they promise us they will fight for our principles and then when they get to Washington they betray us and compromise with democrats.

So to show them we are going to nominate Donald trump who is promising to go to Washington and make deals with democrats and expect a radically different outcome

Meanwhile we could have the man the establishment absolutely hates because he actually went to Washington and kept his promises.

It seems to me that we don't really care about the conservative principles we've been saying we believe it. and if this is true I don't want to be a conservative. I want to be free, not put up a bully who promises to do the same things we are angry about.

This isn't about making deals with Democrats. This is about giving the GOP the enema it so richly deserves & shooting the middle finger to the establishment who have betrayed us. That's why Trump exists....

That makes about as much sense as rioting, looting, and destroying our neighborhood to show how wronged we have been by the powers that be

Shooting the middle finger to the establishment is hardly akin to riots in the street. This needs to happen & is occurring. The party hasn't had a decent candidate since Reagan.

It most certainly is when you put a a reckless, insecure, bully in charge of the most powerful nation on earth. The difference is the consequences are global

Well, suck it up. You won't get what you want. Mommy and Daddy can't make this one right for their little boy.

You do realize that you are the one who will suffer the most when Trump is done using you right?

Whatever you wish to fantasize within your little Liberal mind tickles the hell out of me.

Except you're the one supporting the liberal candidate

When did Romney donate to Hillary?

I can only tell you what came out during the primary, Romney wasn't the most transparent candidate:

"In '92 he was donating to the Democrats for Congress and voted for Paul Tsongas in the Democratic primary."

Mitt Romney says, 'I've never voted for a Democrat when there was a Republican on the ballot'

When did Romney say he would have sex with his daughter if he could?

Can't find this anywhere except liberal blogs. Got a link to Trump saying this?

Where did Romney state that a family member who is an extreme leftist would be an amazing supreme Court pick?

Did Romney have a sister on the U.S. Court of Appeals that was appointed by Ronald Reagan?

Maryanne Trump Barry was nominated by President Ronald Reagan[7] on September 14, 1983, to a seat on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey vacated by Henry Curtis Meanor. She was confirmed by the United States Senate on October 6, 1983, and received her commission the next day.

A Republican,[1] Barry was nominated to be a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit by President Bill Clinton[7] on June 17, 1999, to replace H. Lee Sarokin, who had retired in 1996.

Where did Romney declare bankruptcy multiple times in a business where people literally hand you money?

Been to Atlantic City lately? All businesses eventually go into bankruptcy. Sears, Kmart, Montgomery Ward, Woolworth and Lothrop. Casinos in Atlantic City were a great investment at one time, but that time is likely gone. If it was ONLY Trump casinos that were having trouble in Atlantic City, you might have a point. But it isn't.

Investors often own many non-integrated companies, which they fund by taking on debt, and some of them inevitably file for bankruptcy, said Adam Levitin, a law professor at Georgetown University.

He added that people typically wouldn’t personally blame former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney or investor Warren Buffett for individual failures within their investment companies, Bain Capital and Berkshire Hathaway, respectively.

"The only difference is that Trump puts his name on his companies, which means people associate them with him, but he's not at all the leader in the bankruptcy space," Levitan said. "These bankruptcies were not defining moments for Trump and shouldn't color our view of him."

Avatar must do what Avatar must do.............I know that 3 Supreme Court justices might be up for grabs in the next term................If we elect Hillary they will get a Kangaroo court, and they have a history of Judicial activism......................

Can't stay home and sit it out...............I'll vote for the GOP candidate.........too much at stake here.

Trump will build a wall and deport the illegals, put an end to jobs and corporations fleeing the U.S., and bring jobs back. All the Democrats are offering are higher taxes, more regulations, amnesty for illegals and more illegals, and more jobs and corporations fleeing the U.S. The contrast is vivid.

Any idea how he will bring a job back?

He'll trade China 10 worthless liberals for each job back.

China is worried the free lunch is over...

China Warns U.S. After Trump Wins Nevada Caucus

Hong Kong’s Chinese-language news outlet Oriental Daily reported Feb. 5 that the Party’s Propaganda Department, which sets policies for all state-run media, ordered all publications to ban election coverage of U.S. policies toward China and to focus election coverage on negative stories and scandals.

Trump won the Nevada caucus with 45 percent of the vote, increasing his chances of winning the Republican nomination later this year.

Last month, Trump vowed to impose a 45 percent tariff on Chinese good to offset China’s devaluation of the yuan.

“They’re devaluing their currency, and they’re killing our companies,” Trump said. “We are letting them get away with it, and we can’t let them get away with it.”

The Obama administration has adopted conciliatory policies toward China on trade and currency issues.

Trump, on his campaign website, outlined a hardline approach to dealing with China that involves officially declaring China a currency manipulator and negotiating an end to the practice.

Reading for comprehension troubles again I see. Head over to your local cobbler, blacksmith, tanner, or haberdasher and ask them what I am referencing.

This has been my question about conservative support for Trump all along - for so long I've been hearing how Republicans should not cooperate with Democrats, and then a guy who promises to do exactly that runs away with the nomination.

From what I'm being told, people who support Trump have indeed consciously changed their priorities from down-the-line conservative values to a bull in the china shop who will at least get SOME things they want via give and take.

Obviously they have to be pretty goddamned frustrated to change like that, but I can see them thinking that SOME victories would be better than NO victories.
.

What do you think of the theory that maybe he's like Barry Bonds, Jose Canseco or Alex Rodriguez? You have this guy on your team whose a total nutjob, the other players don't like him, he could care less about the team's traditions, standards, or customs. He doesn't run out grounders to short or arrive for BP on time and constantly criticizes other players and the management. But he can destroy the baseball when he comes up to bat. And because of that, you look the other way on his caustic behavior in all other endeavors?

I honestly think it is that at this point...nothing else threads all the needles. I mean, he's not a conservative, not much of a Christian actually saying "it's more fun" to fight, and his plans are garbage from both a constitutional and a fiscal standpoint.... The only thing that he has is the presumptive GOP nomination and the thought that he will be a formidable opponent to HRC. Thats it.
Yeah, the Barry Bonds analogy ain't bad. "Yeah, he's a pain in the ass, his behavior is an absolute embarrassment to the game, but he does hit a lot of home runs".

I believe them when they say that they're terribly frustrated and feeling nihilistic. What the hell, toss the Tasmanian Devil in there, at SOME point SOMETHING good HAS to happen. But I think it may go one step further, that at some level they realize the country is moving left whether they like it or not, and they want just a few victories to claim.
.

I'm still waiting for you to answer my question in the last thread you started. You didn't answer there...maybe you will answer here...

What I find strange about this is that you, Avatar4321, were all in for Romney. Another rich, politically moderate businessman.

The difference is, this one has conviction, whereas Romney was falling all over himself trying to explain that he wasn't what he so obviously was.

There are some positions that Trump holds that I am not particularly fond of. But at least the man tells me the truth about them.

So, which positions of Trumps do you, Avatar4321, find so terribly different from Romney's positions that you did support with gusto? And encouraged me to support?

why im not sold on trump

The difference is Romney was far more conservative than Trump and he was a good man. Romney also had a lifetime fixing corrupt organizations.

Trump is not a good man. He doesn't have conviction. He isn't principles. He is a bully. And he is a freaking leftist. When did Romney donate to Hillary? When did Romney say he would have sex with his daughter if he could? Where did Romney state that a family member who is an extreme leftist would be an amazing supreme Court pick? Where did Romney declare bankruptcy multiple times in a business where people literally hand you money?

You guys whined about Romney because he supported the mandate and changed position. Trump still supports the mandate. He was supporting the dream act literally up until he began running. Literally Everything you complained about with Romney Trump has done worse.

I can't help but notice you refused to explain why we should vote for someone who is promising to do exactly the things we are supposedly upset about. It's incredibly ironic that we could have the biggest rino as a nominee in decades because the party is annoyed with rinos.

Translation...your plea for conservatism is bullshit. When it was a moderate Mormon running, all was well. Now that it is a more moderate non-Mormon...the world is coming to an end.

Duly noted.

Can't speak for him, but I didn't vote for Mitt, nor Trump. There was nothing 'moderate' about Romney. He was as left-wing as Trump. We should oppose both.

If Trump actually does everything he says literally (which I don't think he will), but if he does, we are going to end up in the second Great Recession of the US.
