Ben Carson: ‘I Do Believe in the Six-Day Creation’ of the World

The press is letting this slide because he's black but if a white candidate said this, the press would crucify him.

Ben Carson: ‘I Do Believe in the Six-Day Creation’ of the World

oct 1 2015 Dr. Ben Carson, a pediatric neurosurgeon, National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine member, and the author of six best-selling books, said he believes in the six-day creation as described in the Bible and that there is abundant geological evidence there was a worldwide flood.

“You go back to the very first chapter in the Bible -- and I’m not a hard and fast person who says the Earth is only 6,000 years old -- but I do believe in the six-day creation,” he said.

“It says, in the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth,” continued Dr. Carson. “It doesn’t say when He created them except for in the beginning. The Earth could have been here for a long time before he started creating things on it.”

“But when He did start doing that, He made it very specifically clear to us: the evening and the morning were the next day,” said Carson. “Because He knew that people would come along and try to say, ‘oh, it was millions and millions of years.’”

In reference to Darwinian evolution, Dr. Carson continued, “And then what else did He say in the very first chapter? That each thing brought forth after its own kind. Because He knew people would come along and say, you know, this changed into that and this changed into that, and this into that.”

.
Lol the GOP has no chance in this election.

What have you got? An over-the-hill hag who is polled to be totally untrustworthy and a habitual liar, an old white-haired man who pinches women, and an old white-haired Socialist who is promising free candy that this nation simply cannot afford to pay for. Yes, you Liberals are offering the American people a well of choices.
This one scandal will not be nearly enough to end her chances. None of the GOP candidates appeal to independents, Mexicans, and women. You need to wake the fuck up.

"Free candy"? How do you not understand the concept of taxes? All of Bernie's spending ideas are coupled with taxing ideas.

You're listing more victims created by the Democrat Party's policies and I do agree that Bernie is very very taxing.
Yeah and any form of government spending must be paid for with taxes.

Isn't that true of all religions? The YEC have an answer to the carbon dating but he apparently is open to an old Earth. I'd rather go to his church than the one obama went to.

Red Herrings and Strawmen have no value here. It doesn't matter what your belief about someone else is, go start an "I hate Obama thread" and have at it.

Carson believes things that are scientifically wrong. Even with the evidence they are wrong he still believes them. To still believe things that have been proven to be wrong is more than enough to preclude someone from holding any office, let alone the presidency.

But the crowd that thinks magic is real find a way in their mind to make anything they believe as right. You know like burning witches (who weren't witches) to stoning people to death.

Primitive humans believed in magic because they didn't know how the physical world worked. We do now. Its time to grow the f#$k up and out of this 2000 year old stupor.

No it isn't and only a layman who doesn't know much about it would say such a thing. How easy it is to say something, the bugwits in Isis make the same claim, science is bunk. I don't give their remarks any thought either.

Just because you can't handle the answer doesn't mean you get to dismiss it. I know you're a liberal, so by default, you're a narcissistic asshole that thinks he can dictate answers. Sorry.

obama says he's a Christian, so he believes in faith, or he's a liar. If you can't handle that one, go fuck yourself.

LOL a little angry there eh Punky Brewster.

And yes I will dismiss nonsense every time I see it. Don't like it, hit the ignore button.

Well, who can blame him. You are in the habit of claiming you alone know everything and everyone else is wrong. Grow up. There are at least two sides to every argument.

I always wondered why christians believed that sea going dinosaurs were killed by the great flood. Can you explain their fossils?

Ah yes the old 'well there are two sides to every argument' fallacy. The world is round, the people in the Flat Earth Society have no grounds to stand on and their viewpoint is not worth debating.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

Ignorance is always inferior to knowledge and must be called out as so. There is not an 'equal sides' argument for most things. Its just the people with the weak side claim this because they have nothing else. Having the right to believe whatever you like in no way means what you believe is factual. Believe what you want, but don't try to put magic on the same pedestal as knowledge unless you are a practicing witch doctor.

They can't, they also can't explain how all the fresh water fish would survive a flood that made the oceans rise to cover all the land.

Their answer lies only in 'its magic'. Like David Copperfield.

Is that what you believe? That's fine by me. I really could care less.
