Debt-free college: Where the 2020 presidential candidates stand

Free shit for your vote. Except its not free and someone has to pay. The loons, answer tax the rich out of prosperity and then work your way down until everyone is equally miserable and dependent on the benevolence of the Government. Democratic socialism.
It’s not free

It’s deciding how we spend our general revenue. Should we help the people or should you spend on a military deployed tens of thousand of miles away?

It’s all about priorities

They can make it in life doing something else. The point was clear. If the pay increases more perhaps more enroll in it. Otherwise the jobs may go unfilled. Not a big deal really. There's other jobs as well.

Damn you're a simpleton....

You wont see a single white truck driver in Houston.
Surely you know the reason right?

If I can do it, anybody can. I don't go to work everyday because I have nothing better to do. Somebody has got to deliver the products you buy in the store every day. Somebody has to haul those items for various processes long before it gets to you.

An employer doesn't expect a low paid worker to be a good worker. They expect and want high turnover on those jobs.
If you aren’t a good worker for a little
you won’t be a good worker for a lot

My father told me, Lynn Therese
I don’t care if you’re flipping burgers
be the best burger flipper they have

Don’t get a check, earn your money

Strong work ethics are not bought
they are part of a persons character

My father was a bricklayer and I worked many summers with him as a kid doing side jobs. For a guy with a 9th grade education, he was certainly an inspiration to me with his philosophies.

He told me when I was a kid, whenever you're on the job......any job. Always conduct yourself as if you were the boss or owner. Do what you think or know your boss wants of you before they even ask. That's how you become a valuable worker.

Pop was right as always, and I live by his words until this day.

It is the classic “guns vs butter” economic paradigm

Look it up

Yep. Most all American workers more than earn their money. Very very free poor workers.
No one is paying you to sit on your phone
and complain about the work, they’re NOT going to do,

Even though they knew what the pay was
and what the job duties were, when they took the job

Being a valuable worker is good. However a growing percentage of employers don't recognize their good workers. In fact they seek to undermine them.. an employee has to do their homework and be very careful of these hacks.

You are right. Most all workers don't sit in their phone and there are very few complainers. They are quickly weeded out.

Good workers are always on the lookout for for a better job situation. Ready to walk away asap. No mercy.

I highly suggest retirement. Been retired for 25 years. Don't miss the good awful terrible rat race a bit. Hope you all get to this point. You will love it.

And I could do it again.
So why cant todays youth? I still have friends in the industry and they still hire from within and train those that show initiative.
I didnt go from pushing a broom to first class machinist overnight,it took me ten years or till I was 26.
After pushing a broom for a year I went in to inspection where I spent 3 years learning how to use extremely complicated inspection tools. Which made my transition to machining much easier.

Kids now days just dont have the patience.
