It’s the culture. We see guns as solutions to our problems. We see them as necessary to living life. We can’t imagine life without them.

So when people have a problem, and they’re looking for solutions, grabbing a gun seems like it could be a solution.

If we weren’t so obsessed with guns, if we didn’t see them as a normal part of daily life, it few didn’t see them as a tool, people wouldn’t look to them in times of distress.
