The poor don't pay income tax. $50k, while certainly not a lot is enough to pay taxes, if that is for a single individual with no dependents.

I'm strictly referring to federal income tax, not FICA or medicare. Anyway, you have to file to demonstrate all your income and that determines whether you pay taxes or not.

A lot of people really don't believe that Obama was born in the US but the issue is mute at this point and they don't want to get into a heated argument about it so they say "I suppose..." or some other sentence just so people don't get into a heated debate about the origins of OBama. THe left doesn't seem happy about that. I don't know why because it really doesn't matter if this man is an American or not at this point because his presidency is almost over with. It is just pointless considering their are a ton of other issues that should take up the bandwidth of political discussion but since the left seems to be pretty totalitarian in its approach on how to deal with dissent on this issue it is determined to squash out any and all dissenting opinions on this issue.
