Nashville Flower Shop Refuses Business with Republicans.

Well good. Every business should declare their business preferences.
Isn't this some kind of discrimination?
It is discriminatory and this is good. All business should be permitted to chose not to bake cakes for queer marriages, to not serve blacks, Mexicans, or the Irish, and not do business with Republicans. If they cut their own throats economically in doing so then the market will have spoken.

Religion is a constitutional protection. Veterans rights are earned as a perk for joining.

One can’t claim veterans status by merely saying one is.
So what?
But nice try. Yes, only immutable traits should garner protected status
Excuses notwithstanding, some of the protected classes are mutable traits (you steered around gender). So why not political affiliation?

In any case, why only immutable traits?

Do you think it's ok to discriminate against people for mutable traits?

Also, should all immutable traits be protected classes? Why just a few?

Not all of you. Certainly not the OP.

But I’m glad you support the florist’s right to refuse service to Republicans.

Refuse to serve a Republican EVENT, done under contract.

They can't refuse point of sale services to Republicans in general, that goes against PA laws and the actual intent of PA laws.

Not unless the PA laws in question have political affiliation as a protected class. Most don't.

Many do, and if one group gets, it all should get it.
I agree with that. It would be completely unworkable, but it's the only way to be consistent and preserve equal rights. It should be all or none. Just handpicking a few favorites is horrible government. Special rights for special people is bullshit.
