Omicron, this is BIG

No longer true and that will turn out to be a very unfortunate "meme" very shortly
As of two days ago the number of deaths in the US caused by Omicron was one. That is the same number of people killed by Baldwin but half the number of people he shot.

I TRIED to read all that, but it was pretty vague. And didn't give examples of diseases that got worse.

I basically don't think they do get more virulent. Sometimes different outbreaks are worse than other outbreaks, but that's not quite the same. IF they change overall, they get milder, as a rule. Like cholera did. It's quite survivable since the big mutation about 1900. Usually. Before that, people just dropped dead in the street.
Less people are being infected with Cholera because we are cleaning up our sewer and water systems around the world. Cholera is spread by food and drink, primarily the water people drink.

Rate of mutations in Cholera is very low because bacteria mutations are low compared to viruses. Unlike viruses mutations bacteria mutations allow the bacterium to grow better and increase it's numbers and thus tend to be more virulent.

The Haiti Cholera mutations of 2013 appeared to make the disease more like the virulent 1800s cholera.

I'm just using a cattle prod on you to get the truth out. Looks like it worked.

Omicron is a fucking gift. It is more survivable and easily transmitted. Just need you turkeys to stop getting jabbed long enough to let it give the earth herd immunity
I think you are ignoring the fact that even with a relatively low death rate, a very high transmission rate can bring down our healthcare and that would result in draconian measures that will bring down the economy.

Example just suppose:
The transmission rate is 50 times that of delta
and the death rate is one tenth that of delta and all other factors are the same so that would be really great?

The current death rate is running 1290 a day. For the above example the death rate would increase by 5 times that of delta. That would mean the daily death rate would 6,420 a day instead of 1290, twice as much as anytime during the pandemic and during the peak after the holidays it could be twice that.

Whether a high transmission rate with a less serious outcomes is good or not depends on how high the death rate and the transmission rate, neither of which we currently know. So don't celebrating until we find out just how fast it spreads and how high the death rate.

You assume everyone is ill! Why?

They don't get it. The more you put pressure on a virus, vaccinating during a pandemic, the more its going to evolve and adapt to transmit. We're watching madness unfold.
This is my 3rd false news story today. The link below explains it but you don't need a lot of scientific explanation.

Where there is increase in vaccination rate, there is a reduction in the frequency of viral mutations. This inverse correlation between vaccination rate and mutation frequency was observed in 16 out of 20 countries.

There are studies that show little change if mutation rate with changes in vaccination rate. I have not seen one that shows increase in mutation rate with vaccination rate.

However this interest in vaccination rate vs mutations rate is missing the forest for trees. If we vaccinate enough people, there will be no virus to mutate.

Shut up

Precisely why Omicron has all the signs of being a Godsend. Minus the Panic porn about it.
Natural immunity is better than a vaccine. Not a lot, but better.
So still... getting Omicron is better than a Vax exactly for the reason you state.

Come from God did it? Ask those godbotherers who thought God would protect them if they appreciate his gift?
You're ridiculous.

Moron! The virus mutated because it wasn't as successful because of the vaccine.

Virus mutation are random. They are errors in replication. I don't see how vaccines (mRNA) would make any difference in mutation rates. The vaccine is not in the body when the pathogen enters the body. The only thing the vaccine leaves in the body after 14 days is antibodies produced by the immune system and the immune system memory of the virus to help the body recognize the pathogen faster.
