Did you think they'd lift their skirt and say do me..........

They need to have FAIR TRADE WITH US.............or we retaliate.......that is how it works...........

Why should we FEAR THEM...............Why are you so afraid of LOSING TO THEM............

They are using this massive economic growth to advance their military.............as they destroy our manufacturing capabilities..............

Taking them on is more than a matter than buying cheap shit.

China's New Carrier-Killer Missile Could Mean Big Trouble for the Navy

When the missile family first entered service, it was said to be the world’s first hypersonic, satellite-guided anti-ship ballistic missile capable of targeting a moving aircraft carrier, with a maximum range exceeding 1,450 kilometers on the strength of its maneuverable re-entry vehicles, a terminal guidance system and over-the-horizon radar.

It is thought to be able to carry high-explosive and submunition warheads, as well as a nuclear warhead of 300 kilotons.

In a nutshell, the might of the DF-21D family, nicknamed “carrier killer,” means that Washington would have to think twice before sending its carriers into the Taiwan Strait and risking the lives of its crews should Beijing mount an invasion to reclaim the self-ruling island, which it considers a breakaway province.

China Builds Fleet of Small Warships While U.S. Drifts

On the other side of the Pacific, the Navy's biggest maritime rival, faced with the same requirement for small, cheap, numerous ships, quickly produced exactly that. The result is the People's Liberation Army Navy's triple-hull Type 022 missile boat, a "thoroughbred ship-killer," according to Patch.

To some observers, the PLAN missile boat – or, more to the point, packs of these boats – poses yet another major Chinese threat to U.S. power in the Pacific. Eighty-three Type 022s firing more than 640 anti-ship missiles in quick salvos represent a "serious cause for concern," according to retired Navy Cmdr. George Root.

US, EU, Japan slam trade distortions in veiled swipe at China

In a joint statement that did not single out China or any other country, the three economic powers said they would work within the World Trade Organisation and other groups to eliminate unfair competitive conditions caused by subsidies, state-owned enterprises, “forced” technology transfer and local content requirements.

The move was a rare show of solidarity with the United States at a World Trade Organisation meeting dominated by differences over US President Donald Trump’s “America First” trade agenda and US efforts to stall the appointment of WTO judges.

It reflected growing frustration among industrial countries over China’s trade practices, along with concerns that other developing countries will follow Beijing’s lead.

The statement said protectionist practices “are serious concerns for the proper functioning of international trade, the creation of innovative technologies and the sustainable growth of the global economy”.

The EXACT measures of actions taken by the United States against China......

Section 232 Reports

Key Findings of the Steel Report:

  • The United States is the world’s largest importer of steel. Our imports are nearly four times our exports.
  • Six basic oxygen furnaces and four electric furnaces have closed since 2000 and employment has dropped by 35% since 1998.
  • World steelmaking capacity is 2.4 billion metric tons, up 127% from 2000, while steel demand grew at a slower rate.
  • The recent global excess capacity is 700 million tons, almost 7 times the annual total of U.S. steel consumption. China is by far the largest producer and exporter of steel, and the largest source of excess steel capacity. Their excess capacity alone exceeds the total U.S. steel-making capacity.
  • On an average month, China produces nearly as much steel as the U.S. does in a year. For certain types of steel, such as for electrical transformers, only one U.S. producer remains.
  • As of February 15, 2018, the U.S. had 169 antidumping and countervailing duty orders in place on steel, of which 29 are against China, and there are 25 ongoing investigations.
Recommendations of the Steel Report:

Secretary Ross has recommended to the President that he consider the following alternative remedies to address the problem of steel imports:

  1. A global tariff of at least 24% on all steel imports from all countries, or
  2. A tariff of at least 53% on all steel imports from 12 countries (Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, India, Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Russia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam) with a quota by product on steel imports from all other countries equal to 100% of their 2017 exports to the United States, or
  3. A quota on all steel products from all countries equal to 63% of each country’s 2017 exports to the United States.
Each of these remedies is intended to increase domestic steel production from its present 73% of capacity to approximately an 80% operating rate, the minimum rate needed for the long-term viability of the industry. Each remedy applies measures to all countries and all steel products to prevent circumvention.

The tariffs and quotas would be in addition to any duties already in place. The report recommends that a process be put in place to allow the Secretary to grant requests from U.S. companies to exclude specific products if the U.S. lacks sufficient domestic capacity or for national security considerations. Any exclusions granted could result in changed tariffs or quotas for the remaining products to maintain the overall effect.

The abuses are MANY...........and we are NOT THE ONLY ONES fighting back.

As I have shown.................the EU.......Japan..........Australia.......Canada......and many others are taking actions against China............

We aren't the only ones doing it...............

And a NATION that becomes dependent on other Nations for all it's products is a FOOL.............

I don't care if you don't make money in your gambling in the Markets..............I really don't..........I care that investment in Industry happen here and EMPLOY our people............NOT THE CHINESE............Who are having massive economic growth because of our Stupidity.

Currently, China produces nearly 95 percent of the global supply of rare earth elements.1 These elements are critical resources in the manufacturing of both commercial and military goods. Precision guided munitions, engine coatings for fighter aircraft, and ship-building components are just a few examples of defense weapons systems that require rare earths.2 For a nation to rely on a near sole producer of a vital resource is imprudent. This point is especially concerning when put into a contextual framework vis-à-vis the United States and China. Can the United States afford to remain dependent on a potential adversary for a resource that has direct implications on the outcome of a military confrontation? Can the United States find viable alternatives from either within its borders or from more reliable partners in the global community? Finally, what are the costs with regards to national security?

To me...............and others...................It is not just a matter of cheap shit and profits...........it is also a matter of Security.......That we should NEVER be DEPENDENT on foreign goods for our Nation.....

/——-/ We sell very few cars to the Chinks because they add a $35,000 tariff to each one. And you’re ok with one sided deals as long as it hurts America.
Yeah we need big gubmint to punish us the way China punishes their citizens so we can't afford nice things! Go MAGA!!!
China is the fastest growing economy in the world............they still have that growth at nearly 7% while we struggle for 3%...........They have ABUSED the rest of the world for their gains since joining the WTO...............They are a STATE RUN ECONOMY........and SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ALLOWED INTO THE WTO.

There is a laundry list of abuses....

China is NOT OUR FRIEND.........they threaten their neighbors.........build Islands in what is known as International waters........and you would give them even more advantages because you HATE TRUMP.

Our Gov't, BOTH PARTIES, have allowed the American people to get screwed since 2001 on this issue. And it's way past time we fought back. While the media and shrill posters yell DAMN YOU TRUMP...........other Nations in the world are fighting back with similar messages and anti dumping measures..............I don't hear you saying squat about them.....................

China threatens its neighbors? Lol ....how many countries we have invaded , how many regimes we toppled ?

Apart from Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, none. Mainly because Venezuela was a failure and in Syria they didn't try that hard......
Iran? Panama?

I was looking at more recent history, like 2001 onwards, but yeah, we could go back a long way and get loads more.

Morons unite. The dear leader leads his lemmings over the cliff. The only question is how many hundreds of thousands of American jobs will be lost.
/——/ We dropped our pants for China for decades, it’s about time we had a president who stood up for America

What do you mean we dropped our pants?
That is Trump style to stoke fears so innocent people like you believed his fucking stupidity. Dude he is running this country on his own not listening to his adviser.

Look at our BOOMING economy BIG TIME all over that I never seen before. Even other countries are getting lots benefits from our excellent economy.
DOES IT LOOK LIKE WE ARE LOOSING?

In reality we are kicking ass. Because of this nonsense trade wars that we don’t need. All of those are in jeopardy.

I have business in China. About 80% of my consumables are from China. Don’t blame me when your hospitals bills will climb up big time. You better pray you or your family don’t get sick.
/——/ enjoy your cheap china crap that destroys American jobs

This from the hypocrite that admitted to using a phone from China! You destroyer of American jobs!
/——/ Yes I bought the best cell phone out there. Now change the laws do they can be made cheaply here. Libs environment laws, labor laws and taxes closed down US businesses with glee.

If you think it’s cheaper to make them here. Don’t you think they or me could have done that?

Even lying hypocrite Trump hiring foreign workers and products made in China, Mexico and Bangladesh.
Even his MAGA hats are made in China because it’s too costly to make them here in US.

I thought it was a republican presidential candidate that said if you're getting raped sit back and enjoy it? I guess you all on the left believe it, You all on the left want us to sit back and enjoy being raped by China. too funny. ooops.

Dude that is what Trump wants you to believe to convince ( hate to tell you this but) his poorly informed supporters.

Again look at our BOOMING ECONOMY BIG TIME and unemployment lowest ever.
Does it look like we are being rape?

I love this response, it's basically an answer to China who hit America with tariffs on $3B, which were strategically placed on GOP candidates areas.

"Oh yeah ya little Intellectual Property thieving sob's? I will see your $3B and hit you with $50B more, AND a complaint with the toothless WTO just for kicks".

Let see who gets hit most, China who has a $500B a year fleecing of America, or the U.S.

The US will as the price of everything goes up and that tax cuts gets eaten up and then some.

What happens when they throw a tariff on our soybeans and the grain farmers now have no market. In the US this year there is for only the 3 time in history more soybeans planned to be planted than corn. Going to suck hard when the floor drops out of the market.
it's that or sit back and enjoy the rape on our citizens. seems you're good with that. You and Clayton Williams.

The "rape of our citizens"...

We are in the midst of the 2nd longest period of economic expansion in the history of our country with historically low unemployment and raising wages...and in the mind of a statist, that constitutes rape.

Well, let's just say that you and I have a very different idea of what rape is.
just as I stated it. trade ifference in dollars is 800 billion, but what they fk do you care, you enjoy rape.

How did you came up with $800 billions? As far as I know it’s around $375 billions.

Because of our booming economy we will always have trade deficits with any foreign trade partners. Because we are one of the top consumers world wide. You make more money you buy more goods. That’s a fact.
These has nothing to do with with rape. Or maybe you just fantasizing.

YES BRING ON TARIFFS
China Tariffs Could Wreck Republicans in November
Pain from trade war could hit Midwestern states with pivotal Senate and gubernatorial races in 2018.

President Trump may insist—as he did on Twitter Wednesday morning—“We are not in a trade war with China,” but the $50 billion in tariffs his administration proposes putting on Chinese goods has already spooked markets, with a broad sell-off hitting U.S. stocks. The damage could also extend to the U.S. midterm elections.

would issue 25 percent retaliatory levies on roughly $50 billion of U.S. imports, including soybeans, cars, chemicals and aircraft. These levies appear to be targeted at states, particularly in the Midwest, where Trump’s support is strongest. But, crucially, many of these states also have pivotal Senate and gubernatorial races in November. The economic blow from new tariffs could upend many of these races, potentially shifting control of statehouses and the U.S. Senate to Democrats.

1000x-1.png

Take soybeans. In the 2016 election, Trump won eight of the 10 states with the largest soybean acreage, all of them in the Midwest. Many of those same states are now host to some of the country’s closest races for Senate (Missouri, Indiana, North Dakota) and governor (Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Minnesota).

Political experts say the economic impact of Chinese tariffs on farmers may play out at the ballot box in November. “The farm community is a pretty powerful voting bloc,” said Jennifer Duffy, who follows Senate and governors races for the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. “If they are unhappy, they turn out in big numbers and can really change things in a hurry.”

That’s a potential boon for Democratic candidates. Three of the four most vulnerable Democratic Senate incumbents hail from Indiana, Missouri, and North Dakota—states that stand to be hit hardest by Chinese soybean tariffs.

And it’s bad news for Republicans. In Illinois, whose 10.6 million acres of soybeans are more than any other state’s, the incumbent governor, Bruce Rauner, already trails his Democratic challenger, Hyatt hotel heir J.B. Pritzker, according to recent polls. Republicans are also defending statehouses in what are expected to be close races in Wisconsin and Ohio.

“This could be very good for Democrats,” said Duffy. “Trump started this. It makes Republicans’ bid to hold the Senate harder. And it might even make Republicans start looking over their shoulder at places that shouldn’t be competitive, like Nebraska and Mississippi, where the Democrat, Mike Espy, is a former Agriculture secretary.”

(Corrects the title of the map of planned soybean acreage in 2018.)
exactly bring it on. I love it. Trump will win and none of that will happen. watch and see. don't put your cart in front of your mouse.
You live in one of those tariff states??? This is cracking me up and btw that 800 billion a year in the hole is BS
prove my number in error.

I just proved your numbers is wrong.

This was only the third time in history that soybeans were expected to be planted more than corn, and now there is a trade war and these folks are fucked.

They more then fuck because other countries like Brazil and Argentina are more then willing to cover the gap for China’s appetites. Probably they are waiting for this opportunity.

Ankeny Soybean Farmer Expresses Concerns About Trade War with China

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Carol Miller of Ankeny has lived through a farm crisis, and knows what it takes to survive.

"That's why you get a little concerned when you see something like this, because we`ve gone through this," said Miller. What Miller sees taking place right now between the U.S. and China gives her flashbacks. "When President Carter put an embargo on grain going to the Soviet Union, we lost markets and we`ve never regained all those markets back," said Miller. "Because the Soviet Union went to other sources."

Miller is worried that something similar could also happen this time around. "China can go to Argentina and Brazil," said Miller. "There's other sources for soybeans and other crops and livestock for them. And, over in Argentina and Brazil, they can double crop. For us here, we are limited to one crop."

The impact of China's proposed 25 percent tariff on U.S. soybean imports is already being felt. "30 percent of the entire U.S. soybean crop ends up in China," said Dr. Chad Hart, Associate Professor of Economics at Iowa State University. "And, that's why this was such a big deal to the soybean market today."

I think you throw around the word rape a bit too easily.
I don't care what you think. LOL. Yes, and I shop at lower priced grocery stores after I visit one that wants to rape me. Again China raping me, but alas china took our Engineering jobs. and I have to feed a family, so until I retire in two years I am taking their rape. I wish I didn't need the money. but. where I can stop the rape I do so. you on the other hand don't care about others getting raped. I know.

Can you explain to us.... How are we are being rape?
When the whole country’s economy is about to explode.
