The Christian Nazis!

Tom -

Try and stay on topic, and limit the spamming, eh?

btw. I have actually studied and published material on fascist theory, and was briefly based in Krakow to conduct research on this topic. If you have better qualifications to discuss this tpic, I'd be delighted to acknowledge your expertise.

How about some links to your published work, Saigon? Here's one of mine from Skeptic Magazine's web site. I'de say it's pretty germane to Nazis, queers, and left wing chimera: The Skeptics Society Forum bull View topic - Hitler s Crowded Closet

So I read your stuff, I admit you have a flair for fiction.

SJ -

I really don't mind at all whether yourself or Tom believe I'm a journalist or not. But on another forum I did post a couple of stories - and had the bizarre experience of a poster send an abusive email to the magazine that had published it. There are some crazy people out there. I wouldn't recommend anyone post their real name here.

Otherwise I' be delighted to post stories here from time to time.
Uh huh, sure.

I tell tou what - I'lll send you a link to my web page, and you start a thread making a public apologty to me ---- is that fair?

It's certainly the first time I have seen Hitler described as a liberal.....was it his policies on backing Affirmative Action that tipped you off, or perhaps his support for gay marriage and green values?!
Nazis boner for power and control over everything. Perfect example of why individual rights and freedom always win out and control and power are only temporary.

Ok, fair enough, but words like Nazi, fascist, liberal and socialist all have defined meanings. You can't use them as a kind of mix'n'match game. Learn what the terms mean and use them correctly - otherwise you end up soinding as silly as SJ does when he calls Obama a faacist. it's simply nonsense.

What you have posted is repulsive and an insult to the millions who died in the Holocaust.

Anyone who thinks gas chambers are a good start for funny jokes about Obama deserves to experience some tyranny frst-hand themselves.

If I was you, I'd delete your post.
It's no joke obama does not like Jews.

It's not a joke, but it is infantile, nonsensical and hugely offensive.

Ha! That did make me laugh - nice post!

Who do you think you are talking to? Don't pull that old 20th century Southern Democrat BS out of your closet again. It didn't work then and it won't work now. I was an eyewitness to that history and I saw the old hard line Democrats covert to the GOP and I saw Blacks, who had been staunch republicans shift their allegiance to the Democrats. This is the 21st Century, chump and you are still lost in the one that passed. It's gone and so are most of the old party allegiances. Welcome to the new progressive tolerant Democrat Party and welcome to the lying, intolerant Taliban- like GOP of the 21st Century!
That's a nice little speech, Mr. Pubic but contains zero substance. I'm sure all da brothas in da hood would be inspired but nobody else is impressed. It's a bunch of biased opinions (your's), which count for nothing. Don't pull your 20th century "I'm a victim of Jim Crowe" out of your closet. Nobody takes that shit seriously any more. You need to listen less to Al Sharpton and take an honest look at how the Democratic Party has been playing you for suckers for 50 years.

The op is about your hero, Hitler. Stop trying to deflect it to American partisan politics . I need not respond to something everyone knows but ..er...YOU!
In other words you have no rebuttal. If you did, you would have presented it.
I have a rebuttal; but,to use it I would have to engage you in an off topic discussion that would surely detract from the issues at hand.
I only wish to stay on topic! Start the thread you want to discuss and I will join you there!
You're the one who brought up David Duke and the KKK. Now, all of a sudden, you want to get back to Hitler? Gee, how did I know you would do that?
You were the one who started talking about Obama being anti -Semitic and I responded to remind you who the real anti -Semites were. Of course after that it was all downhill as you went off on a tangent bringing up a past that no longer exists and has little bearing on the topic at hand. .

Obama's support of Israel proves the neo-cons and far right social cons are full of crap. Nothing new

Jewish-Americans overwhelmingly supported Obama through two elections. I would think they are SMART enough to know that the man they voted for has no ill designs towards their native promised land: ISRAEL.
I'll stand with the Jews! You can continue to hang onto the propaganda spewed incessantly by satirical RW pundits and entertainers like limbaugh and associates!

When Hitler came to power, 98% of the German populace were Christians; the bulk of them being protestant Lutherans. Less than 1% of the population were Jewish!

Considering the lessons of love and altruism associated with Christian teachings, I have often wondered what could have prompted such deep rooted anti-Semitic hatred among the German followers of Christ! How could they justify the heinous nature of their genocidal apparatus? Could one man be so charismatic as to mesmerize millions of staunch Christians into complicity with such extreme social pathology.

Here is one clue:

Hitler was not the harbinger of ant-Semitism.. On the contrary, he was a by product of it. Hatred of the Jews had been festering centuries before he was born. Furthermore, anti-Semitism would be found in every country Jews settled in. But it was German Christians, both Catholic and Protestant, who finally acted upon long held anti-Semitic sentiments and committed murder with the blessings of the state...all in the name of their political rock-star: Adolph Hitler.

The racist anti-Jewish Nazi ideology converged with anti-Semitism that was historically widespread throughout Europe at the time and had deep roots in Christian history. For all too many Christians, traditional interpretations of religious scriptures seemed to support these prejudices.

While Hitler was a persuasive and talented orator, that alone would not have brought a high school drop out like himself to power. It took a bad economy, high unemployment and campaign promises of relief. He seemed to be the answer to their prayers. Indeed . to most, he was a godsend; and, he promptly set out to solidify that image. Finally, after several failures, the time was ripe to facilitate an appeal for people to accept a known uneducated radical as their Fuerher .. They did!

For the most part, the laity, and their professional clergy, modified their Christian front to accommodate Hitler’s Nazism;sometimes under duress but most often due to a sense of revived hope and renewed confidence in the German spirit. Either way, Hitler attained his goal and became the face of unspeakable evil... placing the very souls of the German people in jeopardy as they forsook their Christian values for material gain and to exact personal animus against a hapless people: Men women and children who were either Jewish, non-German or those who did not fit the Aryan model.

This is the Christian legacy of Germany!
Luther was a Jew baiter.

Hitler certainly didn't start it, or finish it.

Just read dem propaganda today.

I think the thread raises an interesting topic - how is it that anti-Semitism can thrive in a Lutheran Christian society?

Nazi Germany is not the only example of this, afterall.

I think the answer is that faith can easily be poisoned by politics; particularly if people feel that by following a politician they will benefit financially. The faith remains, but in a perverted form.

This is particularly important now, when we see Islam being perverted in the same way.

I think it's important that we all remember how easily tyranny slips into a society....and how often it arrives not counter to faith, but veiled in faith.
How did it thrive in a godless communist society?

Most soviet areas conquered by the Germans turned on the Jews the second the Reds were gone, and today, places like Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus and Ukraine try to deceive the world into believing the Germans did it all.

And David Duke was shunned by Republicans, idiot

David Ernest Duke (born July 1, 1950) is an American White nationalist, writer, right-wing politician, and a former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan,[5][6] and former Republican Louisiana State Representative. He was a candidate in the Democratic presidential primaries in 1988 and the Republican presidential primaries in 1992. Duke has unsuccessfully run for the Louisiana State Senate, United States Senate, United States House of Representatives, and Governor of Louisiana.

In 1988, Republican State Representative Charles Cusimano of Metairie resigned his District 89 seat to become a 24th Judicial District Court judge, and a special election was called early in 1989 to select a successor. Duke entered the race to succeed Cusimano and faced several opponents, including fellow Republicans, John Spier Treen, a brother of former Governor David C. Treen, Delton Charles, a school board member, and Roger F. Villere, Jr., who operates Villere's Florist in Metairie. Duke finished first in the primary with 3,995 votes (33.1%).[39] As no one received a majority of the vote in the first round, a runoff election was required between Duke and Treen, who polled 2,277 votes (18.9%) in the first round of balloting. John Treen's candidacy was endorsed by U.S. President George H. W. Bush, former President Ronald Reagan, and other notable Republicans,[40] as well as the Democrat Victor Bussie (president of the Louisiana AFL-CIO) and Edward J. Steimel (president of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry and former director of the "good government" think tank, the Public Affairs Research Council). Duke, however, hammered Treen on a statement the latter had made indicating a willingness to entertain higher property taxes, anathema in that suburban district.[41] Duke with 8,459 votes (50.7%) defeated Treen, who polled 8,232 votes (49.3%).[42] He served in the House from 1989 until 1992.[43]

The Republican Party rebuked him. Pat Buchanan beat him in the primaries. Just because he ran as a Republican doesn't mean the Republicans embraced him, they didn't. If you don't know that, you're uninformed. If you DO know it, you're deliberately misleading. Try being honest for a change.
He has run as everything.

Didn't know my former LSU classmate was back in the US, last time I heard of that idiot he was in Russia trying to revive Nazism.

He's nobody's child.

Try being honest for a change.

Says the person who compared Obama with Hitler.

If you had read what I posted, you would have seen that several key Republicans endorsed Duke's opponent - but Duke still won.
He won one special election in one suburb of the shithole of America, NOLA.

Whoop tee fuckin' doo!

He was a pariah at LSU, got heckled and spit on regularly.

I don't believe it was an actual, personal hatred of Jews, or disagreement with the theology as much as Jews then we're more likely of the orthodox sort whose style of dress made them stand out. And any overt minority group who stood out was designated an enemy. Why the Romani were targetted too despite being Catholic in large part - their style of dress made them stand out.

When a government wants more power they need something threatening to "protect the people form." So they designate various enemies from within and without. Doing it here in the US now with ISIS and Muslims.

Your beliefs and actual history are in conflict. A preponderance of historical evidence throws your "beliefs" under the bus. Before someone moves the bus, I'll get on board to discuss the Romani. They are/were Gypsie, therefore considered non-Aryan by the Nazis..So, they were candidates for the labor camps and gas chambers too.

So what were the Japanese? Far east Aryans? Nazi hatred wasn't about genetics, that was the excuse and scapegoat, not the real reason.

And now we have another anti-semitic world leader who would like to see them exterminated.

That is a liar's joke... Silly Joker! Obama has shown none of the traits you so callously assign to him. The hotspots of anti-Semitism in America are festering in the GOP. And don't point to the NOI as the example of Black anti-Semitism.... anti-Jewish, maybe... but not anti-Semitic. Republicans are the party of bigotry and intolerance for anyone who isn't considered white. Just ask David Duke or the KKK subversives therein!
BTW...Jews are a cosmopolitan group that come in all races, creeds and colors. Some are indeed White in appearance until they say or indicate they are Jewish... Then and only then does i it suddenly dawn upon the observer that Hitler's Germany stole their whiteness and made them a separate race. Even until this very day!
What a crock of shit. The Democrats gave us slavery, the KKK, Jim Crowe, filibustered the Civil Rights Act (both of them), then tried to paint the GOP as the racists. The KKK was started by Democrats to intimidate Republicans and blacks. And David Duke was shunned by Republicans, idiot. He started out as a Democrat, failed, then tried being a Republican, failed, but the Democrats embraced Robert Byrd (KKK Exalted Cyclops and Jew hater) and made him the Senate Majority Leader. Your propaganda doesn't work any more except with freeloaders who are looking for an excuse for their failures.

The mainstream GOP knows your gibberish as crap and that you are on welfare. Conservatives in both parties opposed the CRA.
This is why you're not taken seriously. Grow up.

You are denying it was the conservatives in both parties that opposed CRA?

You are denying the Southern Republicans to an office holder voted against it in Congress, along with more than 90% of the Southern Dems? It was the conservatives, loon.

You are crazy.

Your thread is about anti-semitism. Obama dislikes Jews. You don't like me pointing that out, it interferes with the propaganda you're trying to advance with this thread. And again, YOU brought up David Duke and the KKK. I just set you straight on the facts.
