No, you have that wrong. It always works, sometimes the corporations (especially the multinational ones which I feel should be severely curtailed) take advantage of their workers, but the workers can always leave. Socialism though....that is a system that has never worked. Just ask all the starving people in Venezuela how it worked out for them...
Well I'd probably not be so fast to talk about the failures of socialism when most of the major nations operate using some kind of socialism. Conflating what happened to a nation that was ruled by a dictator until recently making it a dictatorship and not socialist is kinda misleading. Conservatism has never worked. trickle down has always failed. OBTW there are staring people here. Maybe more than in Venezuela.
The best run country's do so with a mix of socialistic, and capitalistic philosophy's. I have always advocated for that. The problem is when the balance swings too far towards the socialist side. That's when the mass murders begin.
We have mass murders here. Authoritarian governments can be capitalist just as much as anyone else. Do you not think Putin is a capitalist?
No, when capitalism runs amock the workers leave, the companies fail, and the world continues on its merry way. When a socialist country runs amock tens of millions of people are murdered because they no longer agree with their socialist masters. Huge difference.
I really think you need to reassess what we capitalists have done in other nations before you make such comments.,
I think you need to read more than howard zinn for your historical knowledge.
