This might explain the Noah's Ark parable in the bible

Put yer thinking cap on. Of course, there's no global flood evidence. How could there be? Even a local flood doesn't leave uniform evidence.

There's ample flood evidence in the Euphrates river basin.

Many. That's what built the Delta south of Basra. The river rises every spring from snowmelt from the Zagross mountains and spring rains. Some years were severe.
That's my point. Successive flooding wipes out or mixes up evidence of previous floods.

Flood sediment is a footprint. Geologists say a global flood is nonsense. Even the Torah says eretz.. land, not earth.
Most geologists are atheists, and the Jews trust their oral tradition above the written account, even though the event is presented as an actual occurrence, not a metaphor.

That said a careful reading of the event is required. Much of what is traditionally believed isn't in the narrative. For example, there was no reason to cover Mt. Everest with water, there was no one up there. ;)

The recent flash flooding in parts of the world from Flagstaff to Germany to Oman that has caused enormous damage and loss of life might have happened 3,000 years ago or more. The accounts were noted and as years went by they were embellished more and more and before you knew it was..God ordered Noah to build an ark and then flooded the entire world...Merkel visits 'surreal' flood zone as death toll rises

This is a good hypotheses for the genesis of the Noah story.

Why do you think most geologists are atheists? I have just known a lot of them because they worked for the oil company.

might be difficult for them to be a desert adherent and believe a 6000 year old world ... more likely to be heavenly and know the flood was early civilization a million years ago and the jungle mentality of the few existing needed refreshing. perhaps even, the dawn of humanity.

Well they have been studying the geology of the middle east for 100 years.

Only if they are dumbass literalists.
To study the flood they have to be literalists in order to enter the givens into their calculations. For example, the speed of the water determines erosion and deposition. They don't have that information. They also have to construct a flood model from the text, this too they cannot do as they always use traditional beliefs regarding the nature of the flood, beliefs that aren't supported by the story.
