Trumpism: This is what PUSHBACK looks like

It's close enough. I guess I just don't get your blind faith that "true" democracy will produce good results.
I never said or implied that.

Sure you did. You said "These guys know their cult leader wouldn't exist with democracy", and I don't know how you can make the claim. Majorities elect populist demagogues all the time. It's happening all over the world.

Libs just say shit. THey never expect to be called on to defend it. They are constantly shocked when we do that.

They live in a world of participation trophies.

When you ask them to demonstrate what they are talking about or back up their opinions - only whimper and referrals to public opinion comes out.

This is why you don't put your children in public schools and let them be rised by single moms.

Sure you did. You said "These guys know their cult leader wouldn't exist with democracy", and I don't know how you can make the claim.
First of all, that is not equivalent to saying democracy will always produce favorable outcomes. So no, I did not imply or say that.

Second, if the majority vote were to decide the president, President Trump would not exist. How do I arrive at this conclusion? Uh...with a calculator, or an abacus....? A fourth grader with a pencil and a piece of paper?

While I'm sure as hell no fan of Trump, or many of his fans, I think I'm understanding this whole thing more now. Unfortunately, I think it's pretty clear the Democratic Party hasn't learned a fucking thing.

As people like Matthews and Carville and Bloomberg and Manchin try to sound the alarm bells for the party, it's clear that the party has been taken over by the loonies who insist that PC and Identity Politics are at the core of the party's worldview.

To put this as succinctly as I can, I think Trumpism is PUSHBACK against years and years of weaponized PC and Identity Politics. It's a primal scream of pent-up frustration. Burn it down, While much of it is pretty ugly to me, I do understand it, because I don't think that much of what the hardcore leftists who are in control of the party is actually American liberalism. I was called a racist for being against the ACA.

I warned about it long before Trump came down the elevator. I just didn't know how strong it would be.

Always nice to see pushback against the PC Police.

November 14, 2015:
Spin & deflect for the PC-Protected religion, and you'll get the pushback you deserve. Tough shit. Be responsible for your words.

July 27, 2013:
Looks like the PC Police are seeing that their phony "you're a racist" schtick isn't scaring some folks like it used to. It's still relatively effective, but the pushback is getting stronger. Hopefully the momentum will continue, and they'll have to actually engage in intellectually honest conversation for a change.

This doesn't mean that the Democrats will lose in November. I sure don't know. But I think I do understand this.

A great deal of this pushback is coming from the Obama years. Obama was perhaps the most divisive President in US history. Here you had a man who was a master at identity politics. A friend of his who was a professor was arrested outside his home because he locked himself out by accident and the police thought he was trying to break into the house and steal things. Obama immediately and publically came to the conclusion it was based on racism because he was a black man, but later got all the facts and recanted. The damage was done though.

Then you had Travon Martin being gunned down by Zimmerman. Even though he was gunned down by a Hispanic Obama and the Left insisted it was due to white Nationalism and Obama even said that if he had a son he would have looked like Travon? WTH?

Ferguson was the kicker as Obama and his administration fed into the narrative that law enforcement and the judicial system were all steeped in racism as innocent, white, policemen were being assassinated all over the country as he heated the flames of racial hatred. Meanwhile, when a Muslim committed a terrorist act Obama refused to use the word "Islamic terrorist" for fear that innocent Muslims might be targeted by those who hate. Too bad the white police officers were not Muslim or maybe they would all be alive today

Obamacare was the kicker. Here was legislation that effected everyone and in an intimate way. It effected our pocketbook and health and those whom we love. We were lied to in regards to its cost, its coverage, how it would be funded, what doctors we could keep, etc. And it was shoved through by one party as the other party was completely left out, which meant half the country was left out of the entire decision. Now the ink on the legislation is not even dry and these same voices insist we must adopt a new plan and believe them once again?

Every GOP Presidential nominee, including McCain, has been labeled a racist. Naturally, McCain became a saint overnight after adopting a never Trump platform. Then he became a statesman overnight.

This pushback is long overdue!!!

The weaponization of PC/Identity Politics was so effective for them, for so long, that it essentially became a part of their DNA.

They knew/know how it angers people, but I think they figured that demographic changes would negate what they were losing by alienating you guys and independents.

Looks like that calculation was off by an inch or two. They blew it. They underestimated the pushback they were creating. They still are.

The real kicker is, even though the media is essentially 100% on their side, people stopped believing the BS. I think they all remembered being lied to via Obamacare which waned trust in the press to where it should be.

They did not anticipate that.

My guess is that they are now relying on the educational system to indoctrinate the populace into their camp by doing such things as pulling 3rd graders out of science class to go protest guns or giving them an off day of school to protest global warming so they can all go cry at the UN after being told that the world will end in 12 years.

Who knows, maybe they will be OK as the younger Trump hating generation starts to vote.

In other words, they have learned nothing.

Can anyone here imagine the holy hell that would result if kids were allowed to protest a right wing cause, like the ability to pray in schools once again?

LMAO!

Hypocritical propagandists can all go straight to Hades.

You have to do the same with your drivers license, change your address with the post office, get the states license plates......

And a lot of people can't afford to, that's the point.

It's just the opposite actually. Poor people have a lot of time on their hands compared to the white working person who is putting in 8 or more hours a day. If ID is discriminatory, it's against the working people, not the poor. In most states, you can get an ID at the DMV, or where you register to vote. It's not that difficult, it's a cheap excuse for the real reason they are against it.

So how about this. We give everyone a free ID they don't have to pay for... and they all get to vote if they are citizens. Works for me.
Don’t you get an ID when you sign up for welfare and food stamps?

Sure you did. You said "These guys know their cult leader wouldn't exist with democracy", and I don't know how you can make the claim.
First of all, that is not equivalent to saying democracy will always produce favorable outcomes. So no, I did not imply or say that.

Second, if the majority vote were to decide the president, President Trump would not exist. How do I arrive at this conclusion? Uh...with a calculator, or an abacus....? A fourth grader with a pencil and a piece of paper?

You're just splitting hairs and dancing. It's very possible that Trump could get a majority in the popular vote in the next election. Especially if the Democrats double down on socialism. What will you say if that happens? Why are you confident it won't?

You're just splitting hairs and dancing.
Nonsense. I have very specifically agreed that democratic choosing of the president can lead to a bad outcome. You tried to claim the opposite, in spite of this, to give yourself something to say. You can play with your dollies, or you can address what I actually say and think. I can't make that choice for you.

It's very possible that Trump could get a majority in the popular vote in the next election.
"Very" possible? Uh...no. possible, yes. Very? By what evidence? The 2018 midterms showed a nearly 9 point spread.

What will I say, if that happens? About...what, exactly?

The impeachment debacle assured Trump a win.
By what reasoning or evidence? the polling shows the vast majority of Americans wanted witnesses called. The polls show the majority of Americans wanted trump convicted and removed from office.

Contrary to your claim, the evidence seems to show that the backlash against the republicans will be notable.

So, please regale us with your evidence and arguments for your claim.

It's not just identity BS. It is globalism, elitism, centralism etc.

And of course Americans being in control of the nation. It's no accident that Trump's signature chant is "Build the wall!".
How is that wall coming?

Great! How are your sessions with the psychiatrist going? Regained any grip on reality yet?
Wow. One short sentence sends a snowflake into a tantrum. LOL.

So, how do you explain why you went into a tantrum? The wall is being built and will be completed during Trump's second term.

You still didn't answer the question. How are your sessions with the psychiatrist going?

Oops, not good evidence for your claim. As the meta analysis shows, his approval sits at about 43.8% : How Popular Is Donald Trump?

Got anything else?

Nobody knows how a presidential popular vote would turn out because we never had one. It makes no sense for Republicans to vote in places like CA or NY because a Republican stands no chance at winning. Candidates like Trump do very little campaigning there for that reason.

That's why it's pure stupidity to rely on the fact that Hillary won the popular vote with under 3 million more people. Nobody was trying to win the popular vote, and nobody was voting for the popular vote.

You call a simple five worded question a tantrum. Damn snowflake.

Uh ... does someone want to explain to Ray why this is embarrassingly stupid? I just can't anymore, with this guy. If he is not making up lies, he is saying things that are just flat out stupid. I can't waste my time with his worthless posts anymore.

There was no tantrum before that. You have obviously never reproduced (Thank God!) or been around children (Thank God, again!).You don't seem to know what a tantrum is!
