Why reparations won't be paid.

In order to ensure this you'd have to have a plan to deal with your demographic displacement because as a mixed race first generation American I can tell you, most of us will stand in solidarity with our black American brothers and sisters.

Excellent news. Get out your checkbook.

Citygroup did a study focusing on U.S. GDP from 2000 until 2020. The study revealed huge losses in GDP due to continuing discrimination against blacks in business revenue, education, housing credit, and income. The study determined that since the year 2000, continuing discriminatory practices in the four areas mentioned in the prior sentence resulted in a loss of 16 trillion dollars in GDP.25 The breakdown is as follows:

“Closing the Black racial wage gap 20 years ago might have provided an additional $2.7 trillion in income available for consumption and investment.

Improving access to housing credit might have added an additional 770,000 Black homeowners over the last 20 years, with combined sales and expenditures adding another $218 billion to GDP over that time.

Improving access to housing credit might have added an additional 770,000 Black homeowners over the last 20 years, with combined sales and expenditures adding another $218 billion to GDP over that time.

Facilitating increased access to higher education (college, graduate, and vocational schools) for Black students might have bolstered lifetime incomes that in aggregate sums to $90 to $113 billion

Providing fair and equitable lending to Black entrepreneurs might have resulted in the creation of an additional $13 trillion in business revenue over the last 20 years. This could have been used for investments in labor, technology, capital equipment, and structures and 6.1 million jobs might have been created per year.”

Stop pretending people are askIng for reparations only for slavery. This study shows losses of 135 billion per year to blacks because of continuing racism RIGHT NOW! This is what reparations are asked for also.
My $0.02:

Reparations for slavery is a non-starter in this country, it could never be done fairly.

Reparations for discrimination is very difficult since it is impossible to know 'what might have been'. What we need are strong protections to ensure it never happens again to Blacks or any other group. Also, assistance for all poor US citizens would help Blacks and every other group in the country and therefore the country as a whole.

Reparations for specific actions should be viewed on an case-by-case basis. In CA a beachfront property was seized by the county under eminent domain but really because they didn't want a Black resort there. That property was recently returned as it should have been. I'm sure there are many such cases so maybe a federal law mandating such returns is needed.

The beachfront property in Manhattan Beach was owned by, and seized from the Bruce family who just didn't want it. They sold it back to the city of Manhattan Beach to continue to be used as public land.

Hold your breath, it'll happen faster.
It will happen eventually without me having to do anything other than vote. Your demographic replacement is already underway. 18 year old white children and under are already a demographic minority. All I have to do is wait. You certainly aren't going to do anything about it.

What a bullshit argument. Reparations can't be done perfectly so we shouldn't do them all. That's a ridiculous standard.

Not quite: The grandsons of Willa and Charles Bruce, Derrick and Marcus Bruce, say they plan to lease the beach back to the county for $400,000 a year. Whatever they do, at least it is their decision.

The Bruce family is a very wealthy family. One of the first families of Manhattan Beach.
