God forbid something happens that causes you to need hospitalization costing $30,000 to $100,000 per week or even more. You are claiming here that you can afford to pay those expenses. If this were business liability insurance or vehicle insurance you would be required to provide a bond to assure you were able to pay your bills. Lack of health insurance or a bond to guarantee payment of your medical expenses means someone else is going to get stuck paying your medical bills. Might be the hospital or government. Maybe it will be folks who pay your bills through their own increased premiums to support folks that do have insurance.

patient comes in says he/she hasn't taken their meds, then the doctor or nurse administers a drug for the symptom they have, the patient goes into cardiac arrest and then they find out the patient did indeed take their meds and the new med administered by the doctor or nurse doesn't work well and the patient then sues the doctor or facility for negligence. Dude, that's fked up. It's the patients fault. And even if the doctor or the facility is found not negligible, they still had to pay for lawyers and court fees. No, that's fked up and that causes all prices to sky rocket. So get off your pitty potty and work toward real change in healthcare. stop that kind of lawsuit.

The Itemized bill for my daughters birth pretty much says it all… LOL
They do make up for it by charging outrageous amounts knowing that insurance will pay, because no one looks at that itemized bill because insurance is a bubble.

If there was a real strict cap on frivolous lawsuits they would not have to have liability insurance that costs so much.
