It is not rare for objections to be raised in congress to an election. It happened in 2005 and 1969 and a number of times in the 19th century. What is rare is a violent attack on the Capital and the Congress incited by a sitting president. This will certain be what Donald Trump will be remembered for and will firmly establish him as the worst president in American history.
