Republicans :Don't Say Gay Goes National

And democrats are also doing the opposite of tackling inflation. With 70% of Americans saying we are headed in the wrong direction, Democrats are campaigning with a theme of, "Let's keep on going in the same direction". Party before country.

Swinging back and forth between one economic agenda that favours corporations and another which emphasizes people is what destroyed the economies of the big South American countries starting in the 1970's.

INFLATION IS WORLD WIDE. IT'S NOT BEING CAUSED BY DEMOCRATIC POLICES. IF YOU WANT TO COMPLETELY DESTROY YOUR ECONOMY AGAIN, GO BACK TO REPUBLICAN POLICIES WHICH HAVE CRASHED THE ECONOMY THREE TIMES IN THE PAST 4O YEARS.

Great Britain just dumped a Prime Minister who tried to institute your wrong headed Republican economic policies.

You have one of the lowest inflation rates in the first world, and the lowest gas price in the first world, and you're want to stop Biden's policies simply because they're working. Republicans did the same thing to Obama in 2010. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Because homosexuality IS normal, for a significant number of people. That's the part that idiots like you cannot get your head around. Homosexuality exists across all races, creeds and religions and in all cultures. It also exists in the animal world. No one is "recruited" into the lifestyle.

Tell us when YOU decided to be a straight person. If being gay is a choice, surely you remember when you made such an important choice. We always remember why we make all of our important decisions. Tell us about choosing to be straight. What were your reasons?

If being gay or straight really was a choice, we would make a whole ceremony around it.

Like all people, I was born normative and remained normative. Homosexuals are made, or "turned out" as they term it. Not born.

Remember in Genesis 19. Almighty God promised to spare Sodom if there were as few as 5 straight guys in town. If He had made the LGBTQ+ community what they were, He would have already known how many there were and would have just referred to His records instead of sending down His holy angels and consulting with Lot.

They're my children. If that's what I want to teach them, that's my business, not a teacher or a school.

You don't have children, Ray. You've never been married, and bragged about that often.

When I joined this board 11 years ago, you were just a working guy and a garden variety racist. 11 years later, you're a full blown right wing conspiracy theorist, and completely irrational political radical, and election denier.

Congratulations on achieving complete idiocy.

So a teacher mentioning their same sex spouse would be fine with you? Because these laws would outlaw that.

Do you really think that’s something Congress should spend it’s time on?
I think you're wrong. I mean, if they start talking about their sexual exploits, yeah, that's going to be forbidden. If they engage in a conversation about sexuality, sexual orientation, or sexually explicit topics, yeah, that could get them in trouble, but if it comes up in casual conversation about their spouse, nobody is going to show up and arrest them.

Have you actually read the bill? It's not that long, and would clear up a lot of this concern.

The bill is clear as to what it's intent is, you all are reading the opinion article written to mislead, instead of actually looking at the bill.

Sodom wasn't destroy because of homosexuality. It was destroyed because of they treated strangers badly. God was furious that only Lot and his family welcomed his emissaries. The expression "that we may have intercourse with them" doesn't mean "sex". "Intercourse" means "talks or discussions". They didn't say "sexual intercourse". You've been lied to.

You might want to think about the way refugees at the Southern Border have been treated.

Of course they do. It’s insane to deny this.

Did your school say the pledge of allegiance each day?
no…some leftist got mad and they put an end to it.

you can certainly learn values from others including teachers but the job of school is to teach basics…science, math, english, not about transgender life especially to a five year old

i mean the sad part is the FL law only bans it til 3rd grade…why do you think it’s si important to tell a five year old about your homosexual lifestyle? or for that matter your heterosexual one?

Schools are teaching children to be contributing members and citizens in our nation.

That takes more than math and literacy.

The people of Sodom loved sodomy so much they named their town after a sex act.

BTW, nothing more inhospitable than F'ing visitors in the A.

and there is a time a place for more serious subject matters, such as high school, and college

Why you think you need to teach a five year old about your sexuality makes no sense.

While you're saying "It's not THAT bad", teachers are quitting by the thousands over this drivel. But it is having the desired effect on reducing the quality and availability of public education. Republicans have long had the goal of ending publicly funded education in the USA and they've now seized upon "grooming" as their latest attack.

You have the lowest paid teachers in the first world, and now you're attacking them over conspiracy theories like CRT and "grooming" and all manner of things that aren't really happening. They're quitting because NOBODY should have to deal with this crap just to make a living.

Five year olds already understand relationships and marriages. No one is shocked by this.

How do you talk about any mommies and daddies and families to kindergarteners? I’m sure you can do that with going into the birds and the bees.

The book banning attempts have been wide ranging….including just about any book that features non hetero characters among others. Very few of the books were actually inappropriately graphic (and yes, some were), but others just dealt with difficult topics and we’re age appropriate. That is in schools. Trying to ban books in public libraries is just wrong.

:dunno: Doesn’t bother me as long as it doesn’t cross the line into porn (and I am sure someone is now going to flash that one inappropriate picture.

Drag Queens are like clowns.

Agree.

Ok….do think that that is going to make sex and the many issues surrounding it just disappear in the minds of teens? I actually am not sure what I think when it comes to older teens. For example Slaughter House Five was banned for containing sexually explicit material yet it is also classic with a lot more to it then just the sex. Should it banned?

Am I?

Why do we need to talk about ANY relational topics at that age? They're kindergartners. However, even if they do, this bill isn't banning that, unless it's specifically teaching about sexuality or sexually oriented topics. I mean, from what the bill says, it's about TEACHING about sexual topics.

Besides, why do we need to start teaching kindergartners about sexual orientation? I'm sure at that age, they don't even understand those things.

Im not knowledgeable about book banning. Again, this bill is about books that contain sexually explicit materials or topics of sexual orientation to children under 10.

Ok, as long as they don't show up in burlesque style clothing, and they are not trying to teach or influence sexuality, or sexually inappropriate topics, fine.

But this bill isn't talking about teens, it's talking about kids 10 and under. Even still, with teens having "ideas", our schools shouldn't be introducing them to inappropriate material.

Then why do you think it's important for the school to teach kindergarteners about sexuality and transgender life? Most five year olds don't know what the word pronoun means, so why do we need to teach them about what pronouns to call people?

Correct, I don't have any children and never married. I lived with a few women in my life and both had two kids, so I do have an understanding about raising them. But you don't have to have children to discuss this topic.

As far as my politics goes, when I became an adult I had leftist views. I wore tie-die tee shirts, smoked pot, anti-police and military, long hair, lead guitarist in a band. So what happened to that Ray from Cleveland? He grew up.

I started to take notice of the results of my views and learned they were wrong. I seen the decay of our society by taking God out of it and replacing it with government. I seen the deterioration of families promoted by the left during the women's lib movement. When I got my first apartment I didn't make much money. So when I went to the grocery store to buy 5 lbs of ground meat to make hamburgers for the week, and took note of some overweight pigs with three kids buying food with food stamps I wished I could afford, I asked myself how is it fair that I work all week and have to eat hamburgers, and my taxes are going to feed this overweight slob and her kids?

It was a gradual change but by the time I got in my mid 20's, I was a full blown conservative and I've been the same way since.

These bills are so vague that even mentioning that they are gay or have a same sex spouse could violate it.

I have read the bills
