Despite the fact Trump still owns the GOP, Trump does not own it as much as he used to. His popularity with Republicans is declining.
Trump's overall popularity has declined since he left the Presidency.
While Trump had a higher overall popularity and higher popularity with Republicans in November 2020 the GOP lost the Presidency, the house and the senate.
A Trump led GOP is good news for Democrats in 2024 if the Democrats can get their shit together. Their candidate cannot be Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders.
Despite the recent wins in GOP primaries, Trump's popularity is declining and continues to decline.
