Far from the truth.Trump was exonerated in his second 'impeachment'.
Do I need to provide the text of Mitch McConnel's speech on this YET AGAIN?
The Senate Majority Leader said that even though Trump was guilty he couldn't recommend a vote for conviction since Trump was by that time a private citizen therefore impeachment was not necessary to remove him from office.
McConnel did say however that nobody should think that Trump had "gotten away with anything" as now that he is a private citizen he is accountable to the courts, who can address his criminality.
