Feb jobs report

Housing starts up 18+%...

Mixed news. Should be better, but it's not a horror show at this time.

‘Don’t hit panic’ — economists find the jobs report wasn’t as bad as 20,000 headline suggests
.
It may not be a ripe horror show like Dec 2007, but time marches on!

Housing starts up 18.6% month over, yes!

But housing starts down 7.8% year over. Did you miss that AND that housing starts appear to have been trending down since Q2, 2017?

It's time to start divesting folks!!!!

New Residential Construction Report
We'll see.

I'm still hoping for the best.
.

Well well look who took Over the house last month? Democrats no wonder the job numbers are down..

Then what is to blame for the even lower month in Sept of 2017 when the GOP controlled both sides of congress?

Or May of 2016 when the GOP controlled both sides of congress?

I’d have to go back and look at the circumstances .. it it’s no surprise democrats take over and jobs plummeted

There is nothing the Dems could do in a month to affect job growth. You are an idiot

Of course they could, Republicans had investors talking to them about jobs.. democrats came in and can’t govern

Actually, Democrats took over 2 months ago and job growth after that was 311,000. According to you, that was thanks to Democrats.
Lol yea most democrats haven’t even opened a field office lol
Who does an investor in America call? You have no phones lol

Utter horseshit.

When pseudocons were howling over lukewarm jobs reports under Obama on this forum, not a single fucking one of them said, "Well, that's because Republicans are in charge in the Senate."

No one is buying your horseshit, kid.
Because republicans have a history of creating jobs,, democrats destroyed jobs look at Amazon in NYC

Getting elected was enough. Just like a contributing factor in the 08 recession was the fact that companies knew Obama was going to be elected.

So? That makes people late for work, it doesn’t get them laid off.

Ahh, you never fail to show your ignorance of how the real world works.

If the roads are covered in snow and everything is all locked up, nothing can get to where it needs to go. If a business can't manufacture widgets because the trucks carrying the widget parts are stuck in snow 1000 miles away, things tend to get bad real fast. I'm a truck driver. For the past two winters we've seen record snowfall. I was stuck at a truck stop for 5 days in January because of the weather. My load was delivered almost a week late. Orders weren't filled, products not produced, money not made.

There are more than employees traveling the roads of this nation you fucking moron.
That affects GDP, not unemployment. Companies aren’t laying off people due to bad weather that just lasts a few days. At worst, they’ll make employees eat up PTO days. Thanks for demonstrating once again just how brain-dead the right is.

If products can't be made people are laid off or not asked to come to work.

Learn business.
Libtards have no clue how the economy works.
They’re not laid off. Companies would lose more in paying out unemployment insurance than it would be worth laying them off and then having to refill those positions a few days later after the weather clears up. Rightards have shit for brains.

Well, they're certainly not going to hire, either. If people or goods can't get to job locations. Man, you leftist traitors are stupid.
Companies don’t hire for an entire month because of snow for a few days? LOLOL

It's not a few days fucktard. It's MONTHS.

February 2019 Set Many Records for Snowfall

My dispatcher will refuse loads that bring me (or any other driver) into bad weather. To hell with the load, it just won't get where it needs to go.

And it doesn't have to be snow, just being super cold can disable my rig. Fuel starts to gel and hundreds of trucks become stranded at truck stops because their fuel has gelled. DEF pumps freeze and trucks that require it will slow to 5mph without it.

As it was when I got on the interstate I blew 2 tires on the trailer because the hub froze to the brake drum. Add another day to the delivery time.

So we have Republicans to blame for any and all months they controlled the House and job growth was lower than expectations, is that what you’re saying?

So in your mind, Republicans never cause job growth to slow down, no matter which party runs the Executive branch, no matter which party runs the House, no matter which party runs the Senate. To you, no matter who’s in charge, Democrats are to blame. Is that right?

Damn fake government!

We are close to full employment.

actually we are beyond full employment. The unemployment we have now is natural to the system and needed to keep the flow of jobs. But we still need to create enough jobs to sustain population growth

That's exactly opposite from the facts. Statistics show job creation going back 40 years is always higher under Dems
