He was beat up. This is what getting beat up looks like. This guy is, as you all can see, in a hospital bed.

Zimmerman barely received a band-aid much less hospitalization. And the altercation he claims was life threatening was less than 3 minutes and Martin was unarmed.

Put some perspective into this and less speculation.

The extent of injuries is irrelevant.
Put some thought into understanding the issues here and less into emotion.

Hahhaa.....Right. If the extent of injuries is irrelevant then will you please contact the lawyers down in Florida? I think you need to straighten them out and save everybody some time.

You could save everybody some time by spending 20 minutes reviewing what an affirmative defense of self defense involves and quit posting crap here.

Hate to break it to you guys, but they'll convict him of one of the lesser charges. The political choice has already been made. We cannot have riots over this, and the courts know it.

Someone will get to the jury and give them a reasonable argument for convicting with the understanding that the sentence will be light, and then reduced to 'time served' later, when everyone has lost interest.

What lesser charge is he facing?

It's all over, folks.

MSNBC Panel Concedes Prosecution?s Case Is Weak, ?Little Hope? Zimmerman Will Be Convicted | Mediaite

During MSNBC’s Martin Bashir on Tuesday, the entire panel of contributors and guests conceded that the prosecution has done a poor job of framing George Zimmerman as being guilty of second degree murder when he shot and killed Tryavon Martin in 2012. One guest noted that, given the weakness of the evidence presented against Zimmerman thus far, the state would likely be wrapping up the prosecution phase soon.

Why should we hope he is convicted?

Yep, that's my guess too. They have to keep the PC Police placated, violence to a minimum, and yet still not overdo the punishment too much -- although Zimmerman's rights will be a lower priority.

He has to be "guilty" of something, the skin color of the person pounding his head into the sidewalk mandates that.

After all, this is America.

No, some people just don't believe Zimmerman held a reasonable fear of his life or great bodily injury.

Why should we hope he is convicted?

BEcause he's a racist white man who shot an innocent black teen to death for no reason.
At least that's how they see it. The actual facts kind of suck for them. That's why you see the lefties here melting down because their narrative is unsustainable.
Had the prosecutor used normal channels and sought a grand jury indictment this would never have happened. The GJ would have given a no true bill and it would be over. But Nnnooooo..

No, some people just don't believe Zimmerman held a reasonable fear of his life or great bodily injury.

Some people believe Elvis is alive and well. It is irrelevant. The standard is what a reasonable man would believe. And there it is indisputible that when a black football player is on top of you punching you and going for your gun you are in reasonable fear.

Here you go, Sherlock. Better keep your day job and leave what is relevant to the experts:

(SANFORD, Fla.) -- A medical examiner who reviewed video and photographs of George Zimmerman's injuries suffered during his fatal confrontation with Trayvon Martin called the neighborhood watch captain's wounds "insignificant" and "non-life threatening."

Dr. Valerie Rao testified that Zimmerman was struck as few as three times by Martin during the fight that night. She also asserted his head may have only been slammed on the concrete a single time. Zimmerman, who faces second-degree murder charges for the death of the unarmed teenager, said Martin repeatedly slammed his head on the concrete.

"Are the injuries on the back of the defendant's head consistent with one strike against a concrete surface?" asked prosecutor John Guy.

"Yes," Rao said.

"And why do you say that?" asked Guy.

"Because if you hit the head one time, it is consistent with having gotten those two injuries at that one time," she testified.

Rao's testimony could contradict Zimmerman's assertion that he was involved in a potentially life-threatening struggle with the Florida teenager."""

There is no evidence Martin was on top punching. More witnesses put Zimmerman on top. Even the witness John Good that the right wing fawned over said he couldn't see if Zimmerman was being punched, called it 2 guys fighting and a wrestling match.

That's sorta it in a nutshell.

You cannot go around shooting people you don't like.

The point being that carrying a lethal weapon comes with the responsibility of knowing when it is actually needed, since it provides the carrier with a distinct advantage. Zimmerman was barely into the scrap with Martin before he decided to shoot that gun just an inch from his heart.

Yeah.

They are.

They were admitted as evidence yesterday.

Got it?

What is it with you nutters. None of you have faith in our justice system. You think everyone is influenced or bought......even a jury.

The political choice?

Incorrect.

Selma Mora said she saw Zimmerman on top at various parts of the fight. And Rachel's testimony has Martin shouting "Get off me".

2 people, a white guy saying the prosecution wasn't doing a good job and a black man saying people believe a black kid can't get justice.

MSNBC was critical of Obama in the debates and the right used that as proof Obama would lose.

Let's stick with the evidence. This is what happens when you judge things based on emotions.

The evidence looks good for Zimmerman.

How so? The medical examiner said the injuries were minor and no where near life threatening.

That is absolutely not relevant. The issue is not the severity of his injury, because it is not Trayvon Martin that's on trial. The issue is Zimmerman's state of mind.

There was witnesses that put Zimmerman on top and no one could tell if it was punching or just a struggle. There are many lies in Zimmerman's statements.
