Actually, what I remember from my Catholic School days is the teacher would often punish the whole class if one class clown acted out. It made the whole class invested in making the class clown behave.There is no reason to curb the rights of anyone until they have actually committed a crime.

There's no good reason why civilians should have guns. NONE. Whatsovever. They are more dangerous to family members than bad guys, and you aren't going to overthrow the government with them.

My Mom is 87 and doesn't need to carry a gun either. Of course, that could be because she's living on the grounds of a nursing home with my dad in a very, very low crime area and is suffering from Alzheimer's. It might also be because she is a Conservative Mennonite and a pacifist who would not shoot someone even if they were attacking her.
