I am going to extend an apology to Asclepius. I saw a post in which L_L said that there were no laws preventing slave owners from freeing slaves and indicating that Asclepius had made the statement. I then saw Asclepius' apparent "proof" that there were such laws which did not prove the statement. I thought Asclepius was claiming his law proved there were, but as far back as I have gone, I can not find the original statement. I made a mistake thinking that Asclepius did in fact make such a statement when he responded with "proof" to L_L.

Therefore, I apologize for mis-understanding Asclepius' response and for calling him a liar.

When researchers looked at fathers who do live with their children, researchers found that the percentage of Black fathers who bathed, diapered, or dressed their children (or helped with these tasks) was 70%, compared with 60% of White fathers and 45% of Latino/Hispanic fathers. This is just one example of several measures showing that Black fathers, whether they live with their children or not, are no less involved with their children than other races in the United States. The report supports the fact that, not only are Black men doing the right thing when it comes to their children, but in some instances they are doing more than men of other races. These results are significant since images and stereotypes that surround us would imply otherwise. A recent LA Times article also shares stories of Black fathers who defy these stereotypes and are doing their very best to be an active part of their child(ren)’s lives.

Dude has 7 kids with several women,raised none of them and only paid support when he was forced too. He actually quit a job to work under the table so child support wouldn't be taken out. Fortunately my sister has found a nice stand up non black man who works hard and treats her and her son like Gold.

Dude has 7 kids with several women,raised none of them and only paid support when he was forced too. He actually quit a job to work under the table so child support wouldn't be taken out. Fortunately my sister has found a nice stand up non black man who works hard and treats her and her son like Gold.

Most white males are asshats in the same manner. I know a white guy that has 9 kids by 4 different women and never has worked a day in his life and will not spend time with any of his kids unless he is bumming a place to stay with the mom.

My oldest daughter could have been counted among that 64% at one time after I left the situation. However, i was more involved with her than the mother she lived with.
