Trump Prosecutions Backfiring?

The institutional norms are corrupt. They are now a weapon to be used against anyone who isn't part of the "elite".
Someday Gangster Trump will show up in court sucking air from an O2 tank & pushed along in a wheelchair by one of his idiot lawyers, hoping to garner more sympathy from his beleaguered cult travellers.

Like tomorrow in a scene right out of Casino.

That more applies to your turnip.

I'm saying that the premise is off. Hardcore MAGA people back him for the same reason his more reluctant voters do, not because they worship him, but because he fights Democrats - in their eyes more effectively than the "Bush republicans" ever did. These prosecutions will be framed to make Democrats seem like even more of a threat to these people. And possibly even more of a threat to independents trying to decide which is the "lesser evil".
Perhaps. I don't think the average joe is going to be brought over because of Trump playing a victim with J6 and him literally narrating crimes while committing them but I have overestimated the public many times before.

I actually do not think we are seeing this all that differently, I am just a bit more jaded on his supporters and a bit more hopeful about the rest of right. Which means I am likely wrong XD

For whatever reason or whatever particular motivation, there is no question his supporters have abandoned any semblance of actual values in that support though.
I sincerely hope you're right, and that these prosecutions convince people to not vote for him. If we can also convince them to not vote for Biden, we might have an outside shot at getting someone decent in there. But I'm not optimistic. It's going to take one party, or the other, making a firm commitment to represent the entire country, and dropping all the culture war nonsense. I think whoever does it first will win in a landslide.
I disagree here though. I do think it would be awfully nice if they both abandoned the culture war but they took it on for a reason. It works. The public really, really, really likes an easy 'bad guy' to go after and the current version of the culture war is a highly refined reflection of that. I am unsure of how we break away from this particular cycle. So much of our current media consumption has really been dumbed down to same hate rhetoric going in circles and played is such a simplistic way.

If one side bows out they will get epically clobbered. If only one side is the pedophile, racist, Nazi, ___phobic communist fascist baby eater then the other side will walk right into victory.

Yes. Fear mongering is the go-to campaign strategy in the current system. Unfortunately, it's baked into our plurality elections. We either have to get over the fear mongering (stop falling for it as voters) or change the system so that it isn't rewarded (ie ranked choice voting or something similar).

Trump`s inner circle, including his daughter that he wants to screw, are all turning on him as they plead guilty. Eastman will be the next one to sing.
Not lost upon patriotic Americans who focus upon the evidentiary substance rather than the irrelevant hoopla is Trump's inability to confront and refute the actual charges, instead, throwing his soiled diapers at anyone who enforces justice.

The cogent legal question is: Why is the whiny cry baby being tried as an adult?

You really don’t understand the concept of Statistical Sampling do you?
/---/ Yeah, I do. Better than your wish I did. A small sampling one year out from a general election is statistically insignificant. Come back with a poll of 3,000 likely voters a week before the election, and I'll listen to you.

That is all Trump is now…

Poor, poor me!
Everyone is picking on me
Trump's going to appoint a vicious Attorney General, fire Wray and appoint another vicious director for the FBI that will go after the democrat witch hunters. It's coming bitch
